Worth eating! Something different if you like Ulam and you want to skip the carbs.
These are good. These are very good. Made fresh, Fat Spoon takes super ripe cempedak and wrap it in spring roll skin and fry it to a perfect crisp. 🤤 It goes very nicely with the vanilla ice cream that it's served with - but I could quite happily eat it on its own.
👍🏼 Gimme moar!
Best for small groups looking for a rustic spot to dine, this cafe's Moo Moo Rice Bowl (RM17) takes you back to the good old days of eating rice with a bowl of piping hot ABC soup, plus tasty basil beef tenderloin. Another yummy choice is the Ulam Angel Hair Pasta (RM16), a modern take on the use of aromatic ulam herbs. The comfort food selection here extends to the dessert menu with Cempedak Spring Rolls (RM15) — deep fried cempedak-stuffed spring rolls served with vanilla ice cream.
Avg Price: RM30
The moo moo rice bowl, stir fried beef with basil leave on a bowl of warm rice and topped with fried egg. It also come together with a bowl of ABC Soup.
Ulam angel hair pasta is a twist from Ulam fried rice, all the Ulam spice definitely boost the flavor of the pasta dish.
Crispy and sweet Cempedak rolls and vanilla ice cream, hot and cold at the same time. Pretty good combination:) and and.. their ulam fried rice and claypot loshufan were not bad too!
Innovation and traditional. Can both co-exist? YES! Fragrant Ulam fried rice at reasonable price tag of RM13 for example, I couldn't find a reason NoT to bring my family n friends here again !
