Decided not to go for the usual Bellota Loin Katsu set at Gochi-So Shokudo today and tried the pork tenderloin katsu set instead. The restaurant's staff recommended this set as the tenderloin is supposed to be leaner and there is thus a noticeable difference from the bellota loin, which comes with an additional layer of fat at the end of each piece and is more tender. Although the staff was right about the texture (slightly tough and no fatty portion), the pork cutlet tasted rather bland today and it was as if the cutlet was cooked without any salt. Thankfully, the outer layer was still really crispy, otherwise it would have been a pretty disappointing lunch.

Furthermore, the tenderloin set costs $18++, which is more expensive than the bellota loin set. I would surely go for the bellota in future. 😅
