Unsurprisingly, the 𝗨𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶 𝗗𝗼𝗻 ($24) was unable to match up. The eel, gloriously glazed with teriyaki sauce and competently grilled, possessed a seductively sweet, smokey profile. Although I’m a big fan of scrambled eggs, the overly runny eggs that blanketed the rice were too wet. Here, the pickled carrots and ikura were unsuccessful in elevating the dish past the wetness. Still, this was a commendable dish.

Dining in a restaurant may be the only opportunity I get to shout “Objection!” to see someone else’s shocked expression — not when the waiter asks you to pay, though — but returning to @thetipsytavern.sg for Burpple Beyond deals is something I’d not object to.
