Back in the day, Rasa Sayang Western Food was THE place to go for affordable and delicious western food in big portions if you stay around Ang Mo Kio. Situated in the S11 food court next to Jubilee Square in Ang Mo Kio Central, it is often the stall with the longest waiting time during peak lunch and dinner hours. Until recently, I had no idea the current tenant of that S11 stall is no longer Rasa Sayang, who had relocated to a kopi tiam right across the road from AMK Hub. 

As with most western food stalls, one of its most popular items is the 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗽 ($6.50). Do not be fooled by its small surface area, for its thickness was easily double that of chicken chops found at other stalls. The succulent chicken was drenched in a delicious mushroom sauce, topped with thinly-sliced mushrooms. It's old school, so you don't get to choose the sides. Coleslaw, baked beans, French fries and a slice of garlic bread were the standard sides. While the sides didn't really impress, we liked the garlic bread's crispiness.
