With so much hype surrounding it, Tanuki Raw failed to live up to its expectations, at least to my expectations.

Truffle oil was drizzled sparingly, beef was reasonably tender and was featured in small pieces, egg was rather hard and didn't flow, and the rice was too dry. Portion is also quite small as the beef looks much smaller than in the previous pictures that I have seen on Burpple.

For its price however, I would still say that to get such a dish would be worth it. But would I come again? No.

Similarly, the Salmon Don ($12) is also very mediocre, with the rice being more dry without the truffle oil drizzles. Portion and price wise, it is also quite worth it.
