A mild tease from the spicy mentaiko sauce, Barashi-teiโ€™s Spicy Salmon Maki ($12.80) consists of all my favourite ingredients. From the soft aburi salmon to the thinly battered ebi tempura, the maki definitely stole the show and was the best out of our dinner spread. Topped with ikura, the salmon was nicely torched creating a light smokey and creamy flavour while the fried prawn in the center gave a good crunch.
