The only store I know of, that sells pineapple bak hwa, Kim peng Hiang has been around since the 1930s. It was previously located at the now demolished pearl centre at chinatown. Used to remember queuing up over 2 hours for their famous pineapple bak kwa during CNY almost over a decade ago. Some news outlet says queues can go up to 8 hours during CNY period

Without fail, come CNY, this pineapple bak hwa will be eaten at my place or at my parents.
