2.5 munchies: No perk-me-up Monday because I suspect the coffee served here is brewed with a lower coffee to water ratio, resulting in a weak flavour with little body. There was also too much milk in my flat white that took away the medium-dark roast aroma and slight bittersweet aftertaste.
House Blend D1-G4-6. Medium-dark roast coffee beans from Guatemala, Columbia, Brazil and Indonesia. A #cuppa with chocolatey and nutty tones. The #coffeeart still stays after I finished the coffee 30 minutes later - a sign of good milk-steaming skill!
In between slices of country bread are roast beef, a generous portion of house-made rosemary, cucumber and carrot pickle, and lemon mayo. It's ingenious how the pickled vegetables have been cut in long, flat strips to give a bigger crunch. I also detect the tiniest hint of ginger in the pickling juice, which somehow works marvelously with the lemon mayo. This is a sandwich that invites repeat visits from me.
