Duke Bakery (White Sands)

Contained cream cheese, rum and coffee liqueur but cream cheese taste was the most prominent. It was quite unique. Bread is really soft and fillings were relatively generous.

The breads are super soft when eaten on the day itself! Fillings are not super generous but okay. My favorite is the chocolate cheese bread which has a decent amount of chocolate chips and cream cheese. It’s not super sweet too and hits the right spot.

Favourite item with the fragrance of the sesame , sure to satisfy. Reasonably priced at 4.90 for a loaf.

Amazing flavour , great for those who enjoy creamy cheese. Wholemeal flour makes it a healthier option too

On my “vegan” diaries, I was happy to reconnect with Duke Bakery- a daily breakfast pitstop during my university days when the city link outlet was right in front of City Hall MRT.
Not all but a significant number of the bread here are vegan (i.e all vegetarian options without egg and butter).
Duke bakeries soft European loaves are truly in a comfortable league of its own; catering to both a Western and Eastern palate. For me the French walnut is an excellent sandwich bread while the savoury options of tuna cheese/ smoked chicken pizza makes a great, ready to eat meal. Then there is a wide selection of sweet options, truly a bread for all occasions 🤪
