Taste of New York includes 100% USDA prime black angus dry aged New York sirloin steak, served with creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and a sampling of New York style cheesecake. Steak fans rejoice - the sirloin steak here was simply indulgent with its juices sizzling all around it.
Mashed potatoes were creamy and yummy, but the creamed spinach was slightly more bland. The “sampling” of the cheesecake was actually a normal sized cheesecake! It was quite a standard slice of cheesecake.
Service here was excellent. We visited to celebrate a birthday and they provided us with a complimentary slice of cake, a poloroid photo, and a birthday card! Very thoughtful.
Prices are what you would expect from a steakhouse, we went for the lunch menu as it was lower priced. There was also a 50% off promotion for healthcare workers in April, so we managed to snag a pretty good deal!
Finally another worthy contender for a chunky, fulfilling, quality steak. I especially love how the medium rare is actual med rare (yes even "proper" steakhouses in sg tend to cater to ignorant taste buds). I like fattier cuts so I always go for the ribeye, about 600g including the bone. The sides and appetisers that I have tried over three visits to date (oysters, bacon, crab cake, creamed spinach, creamed corn, German potatoes, sautéed onions) are all unfortunately quite meh, but no matter because the meat is what I'm here for. Service is like how mortons used to be (casual and interested, not stiff and fake). Not a romantic candle lit type of place as it is often bustling with the occasional birthday song being sung by servers. Perfect for the beeves lover in your life though.
That perfect pink on the inside of the USDA Prime Dry Aged Porterhouse Steak, which was carefully dry aged in house at Wolfgang's Steakhouse. Not to forget the sides which complement the steaks, the creamed spinach and German potatoes are excellent choices!
Wolfgang's Steakhouse opens its door tonight right at the new swanky Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay ;)
