Good Wood Coffee Dessert ($15) entire presentation & sensation was enticing 😍 Espresso shot drown the fluffy candy cloud & totally love the soaked up coffee brownie in coffee soil with Tahitian vanilla chantilly

Ice2 Baby ($15) made a grand entrance with the song - Ice Ice Baby - blast out in the PA system 😱 but we were disappointed with this Sichuan classic dessert as the clear jelly, assorted fruits, burned cucumber, crushed peanuts were rather ordinary. Flat.

Chocolate Mousse Cake ($12) with fresh berries & mango coulis. Another ordinary piece of chocolate cake that lacked the ‘mousse’ feel that we were expecting

There are comfort food and there are food that makes you really comfortable. Admittedly I am not much of a dessert person except for that occasional cheese cake. Generally preferring savoury to sweet. This rice cake at BoaF was something that's caught my eye for awhile but have not tried. It's home-made glutinous rice cake 糍粑 (you heard me right, that's how the waitress introduced the item) with generous snowing of roasted peanut, kinako (soybean powder) pomegranate, chilli powder and drizzle in the red sugar 紅糖 caramel. That warm fuzzy savoury yet sweet and spicy flavour just makes you feel like falling in love all over again.
This is worth every calory. Fried to perfection, have this on its own or with the Okinawa black sugar syrup for a sweet touch.

The savory version of the Fried Glutinous Rice Cake ($12) is sprinkled with spicy soy seasoning, pistachio sand, red sugar caramel and pomegranate. The combination definitely has elevated the whole experience. A must try.
