Tried their signature beef pie. Satisfying and up to standard.
The roast beef (available only for Sat &a Sun dinner) looks pretty good - that will be my order next time.
Their fish and chips looks good so that too will be on my next-visit list.
Hidden under the crispy, flaky, buttery puff pastry are chunks of juicy beef cubes and savory vegetables cooked to perfection in thick gravy stock with ale.
I couldn't get enough of the buttery pastry slathered in all that thick rich sauce. Yums.
Can't wait to try out their fish pie!

Comforting beef steak and vegetables in ale gravy will definitely warm you up in this chilly weather.

One example would be the Steak & Ale Pie ($19) which brought back many fond memories during my holiday in the UK. A thick doughy pastry, made in-house, is used to house the filling of beef steak and vegetables which has been cooked for many hours in a thick gravy stock flavoured with ale, Worcester sauce, thyme and black pepper. Served with a side salad and chunky fries, this is screaming out loud for a pint to enjoy with.

From the team that brought to you @char_restaurants . After their shift to Jalan Besar, the old location was revamped to a British Grub and now serves classic English cuisine. Not forgetting draft beers of course.

The pie has generous amount of beef chunks cooked in ale and worcester sauce, each piece of meat is tender and filled with vibrant flavours. Pie crust was slightly dense and I think it would fare better if it's lighter and more towards the flaky type.
