Suckling Pig. Carved right beside your table, crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside. Simply a work of art. @catalunyasg #brunch

Love love the appetizers, cold cuts and the sides. The spanish scrambled eggs with chorizo was πŸ’―βœ”οΈ! The suckling pig was a little dry and the salt-crusted fish had a distinct muddy smell that day(did feedback to the manager) though. My dining partner and I believe that the quality of the desserts can be better, as we had very good ala-carte desserts here before. You can expect a very different and lively dining experience, especially when the staff danced in to serve the suckling pig!So cool!First time for me to witness that!I could not resist and began to groove(while I gobbled up that egg). πŸ’ƒπŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ #Burpple #Brunch #BurppleSg #flatlay #CatalunyaSg #Spanish

Had a wonderful weekend brunch at Catalunya last weekend! For those of you who want a slightly different type of brunch and have a bit of money to spare( prices can be a little steep I must say), give this Spanish restaurant a go. Located along the Singapore River, you're greeted with a lovely scenery as you tuck into your food with friends! You can order from their menu appetizers such as the bikini(iberico ham, cheese and truffle-this is good), estrellados(fried or scrambled egg with potato and your choice of toppings -another yummy dish) and the unique Spanish omelette(made of potato foam, egg yolk and omelette which is served in a glass) Also, though not very widespread as you expect but bound to fill you up, their buffet includes beef, fish, salads, bread, pies, cheese... And the winner has got to be the suckling pig. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ their portions served are sizable and really tender! Besides, the staff engages you with a round of Bingo in between your meal, and what's the prize? Two complimentary weekend brunch buffet vouchers! 😊 overall quite a unique experience I must say. Now it's yours to decide.

Just look at their starters - cold cuts, smoked salmon and etc. Their scrambled egg with a bed of crispy baked potato (my favorite dish of the day)! The view was good and atmosphere was very friendly. Totally fell in love with the place within the first 30mins. .

However, after their signature suckling pig, I was pretty disappointed, as the pig was slightly overcooked and porky aftertaste.

Get your fill of the Traditional Suckling Pig Segovian Style tonight at Catalunya!

But before that, get your cameras ready for the Spanish way of presenting a suckling pig!

So happy that I got to try this signature at @catalunyasg last week. It's part of the weekend brunch menu at $98++ per person, which is amazingly good value, considering that you get sizeable portions of their specialties – suckling pig, paella and salt-baked fish – on top of a buffet of cold cuts, cheeses and salads.

This is definitely the best Spanish roasted piglet I've had. It's served with pomp and parade, chopped into portions with a single plate to showcase just how tender the meat is (after which, the plate is promptly smashed on the floor in true Spanish style). I love that the fat was rendered down so that the glossy brown skin was left as thin, crackly shards, just the way I like it.

Because we can't finish the whole sucking pig so we have the same pleasures in smaller portion instead. The codfish was very refreshing as starters.

Caught the change of the magical skylight and was in for a treat with the lightshow from mbs amidst the dinner.

Definitely my best spanish dinner with the million dollar view. Can't wait to share my maincourse.
