Whats better than a warm bath on a rainy day

Ah Bong's Italian is a gem for those who constantly crave affordable yet delicious pasta (I'm one of 'em!)

"I would like a Warm Bath…”

Aside from the quirky name, O M G the plate of pasta was delish. My first time having egg brûlée and it sort of blew my mind! A simple comforting dish of penne, anchovy butter and French beans was instantly upgraded with the sweetened scorched egg that is now my favourite kind of soft-boiled egg for I really love its crispy caramelized crust and the rich gooey yolk together~

Eggs brûlée! Isn't that such a brilliant innovation? Sweet and savoury, blent under the blow torch.

Breaking my 1-post-in-2-days rule is a shout out to this delish creative pasta, B.L.T., which has dethroned the long-reigning Warm Bath, as my most favourite pasta. This is not your ordinary Bacon Lettuce Tomato combination, but Bacon Leeks & Time! Braised leeks were sweet and savoury thanks to the Time spent braising them in chicken stock. Tossed with bacon and a fair amount of cheese, this pasta is delicate in taste and will make you scream for more.
So glad I can enjoy this before my very first exam. I was so nervous after almost 10 months of hiatus from school, but this plate of awesome comfort food had made my day. Thank you for reserving it for me, peeps ☺️

(because this dish is worthy of endless shout-outs at every social media platform I have)

This has just become my all-time-favourite pasta at Ah Bong's. It's light yet flavourful -- thanks to the anchovy butter that gives such a rich umami flavour. Sautéed french beans are crunchy, giving a perfect contrast of texture to the soft-boiled egg. Too much heaven in a plate.
