Choose the base for your Banana Leaf Rice (from RM7.50) β white rice, parboiled rice or briyani β that come with four refillable vegetables of the day. For meat-lovers in the family, go with Burppler Jonathan Bryan Leeβs recommendations for the Butter Chicken (RM14) and Chicken Tikka Masala (RM14).

Since Anneh is in the midst of relocating, we've started going back to our usual haunt for great banana leaf rice and Indian food. The Curry Leaf is the Damansara Uptown outpost of the original in Seremban and instead of the 8 vegetable dishes given there, this outlet's version comes with 4. Fret not however as the same recipes and types of dishes served at Seremban are the same here. The dishes always rotate and there's usually one or two dishes that are new whenever we come here. The rice was alright and the dishes were delicious. You can opt for having chicken curry, fish curry or dhall ladled onto your rice or all three at once! The curries were somewhat too salty for me though. In a banana leaf rice meal, you are allowed an unlimited refill of your rice, dishes and curry(your mileage may vary/YMMV though). The atmosphere was quite nice too, with a bit of air conditioning to prevent stuffiness and clean tables and floors. Their chicken tandoori is good although somewhat salty and their butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and other cooked meat dishes are marvelous(especially the gravy)! I would also recommend the naan πI would rate this 8/10.
