Crisp, alluring, meaty and all your chip fantasies come true.
The secret star of the dish is the sambal/belachan. Spicy, rich and unforgettable. It even goes with the Rosti that we ordered.
Now all I need is a bag of these chips and dip my way to heaven.

Essentially the pork cube experience but with a sticky, chewy level up, with an accompanying dip which smacks your tongue over its head with a dusky, pointy sear spear and alone justifies the price of admission. 4/5

Seems like Hummingbird Cakes are quite an easier find of the late as compared to in the past. This one tasted quite the part; a fluffy cake similar to the carrot cake with cinnamon-y flavours going on with layers of cream cheese frosting and walnuts in between; just of the right density for the cake — hidden within the layers of cream cheese includes candied lemon and pineapple chunks for a contrast of zesty flavours. Certainly works well with the Filter Coffee here!

Starting to appreciate Filter Coffee by the day for its more clean and lighter flavour and popped by this spot where I had not visited for quite a while. Enjoyed the fruity notes at the start and the nuttier end for this one.

Beneath the glossy veneer of silky hollandaise sauce blanketing perfectly poached eggs lay golden and crunchy crumbed salmon and crab cakes, which unfortunately fell short of the high expectations set by the other components due to the not so subtle taste of frozen seafood and gummy texture of the patty mix.

As I sit here having my Crabcake Benedict at Collective Brewers, I'm already regretting not ordering their signature Beef Rendang Grilled Cheese. Slow cooked till almost falling apart, the rendang is unctuously saucy, spicy and boasts hints of tangy sweetness. The melted provolone and cheddar just barely manages to hold in all that oozy goodness in between the brioche slices.

Taste: 4/5
