[CLOSED] Churro 101 (Bugis+)

💚 Being a sucker for anything matcha, my anticipation for this turned out to be a dismay and disappointment to both the sight and sense 😞. Firstly, the presentation was all screwed up (logo supposed to be the at the other side- swipe to view). Okay enough of visuals... after it's all about the taste that matters right? And so... the matcha churros was well... just mediocre, akin to their usual churros dusted and sprinkled with some matcha powder. I had initially thought it would be a matcha-INFUSED churros but I guess my expectations were up too early. The only saving grace was the texture of the churros- crisp with a soft, doughy interior that I adore. They are also freshly fried and prepared upon order, which perhaps account for the fragrant batter. The softserve, on the other hand, could be easily given a miss. Texture was a tad too icy for my liking and the creamy, milky flavour tasted conventional and similar to the famous fast food chain's ice cream. Drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with crushed nuts (which I asked for it to be omitted), my personal advise would be to just get the churros in silo and head over to any fast food chains/ supermarket for a cheaper vanilla ice cream (if you require some cold pairing to the hot churros) .

Think pipping hot cinnamon-sugar covered churros with creamy cold vanilla soft-serve, drizzled with rich cookie butter sauce and cookie crumbs! Loving the festive doughy treat, glad that I managed to try Churro101’s Cookie Butter Cup ($5.90) before the new year~

Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside - exactly how a Churro should be! You just can’t go wrong with this combination. Still not sure about the whole boyfriend thing though...

Churro and coffee set for around S$7. It took about 5min to get churro. I think they fried churro after I order. The churro was hot and crispy, tasty:)

The entire churros is coated with dark chocolate and almond nuts, and yes, it tastes as good as it looks. A good choice for chocolate lovers 😊👍🍫

It's warm and crunchy on the outside.
Cousins said that the cream cheese is too thick and rich tho. But i really love it like that!
