A refreshing cocktail mix of Gin, Vodka, Lemon, and Prosecco. Zesty, boozy, and fizzy—an ideal pairing with the meal.
I couldn’t help but chuckle, at the server standing by, subtly judging as we eagerly filmed the lid reveal. 😂 When the lid is removed, the mascarpone cream flows down mesmerisingly, blanketing the coffee-soaked layer beneath. The sprinkle of crushed pistachios lends a pleasant nutty flavour, enhancing the dessert’s profile. The tiramisu itself is moist, smooth, and creamy, offering a light, mildly sweet taste. While it might not be a mind-blowing dessert, it brings a soothing and peaceful indulgence that makes it a perfect ending to the meal.
Oh my... this dish is so good! The decadent pork belly is served atop a vibrant bed of tomato salsa and fried potatoes. Upon first glance, the dish resembles roasted chicken due to its appealing colour and texture, but once you take a bite, the unmistakable richness of pork comes through. The skin had a toasty crunch, while the meat remains slightly moist and tender, neither dry nor chalky. The flavours are rich and indulgent, complemented by the tangy tomato salsa that resembles garlic chili sauce. The fried potatoes provide a hearty starchiness, making this dish a must try!
These ribs offer succulent, chewy, and tender meat that is easily cut and de-boned. They are drizzled with a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, adding a delightful kick to the dish. Accompanied by crunchy thick-cut fries, the meal provides a tastisfying contrast in textures. The ribs retain their moisture, and the flavour penetrates deep into the bones, making each bite rich and enjoyable.
Wide, wavy, ribbon-shaped Mafaldine noodles paired with a delicate, sweet, and briny umami bisque, topped with a crispy soft shell crab. The oceanic flavour is prominent and strong, delivering a rich seafood experience. However, I found it slightly too salty, which affected the overall balance of the dish. Despite that, the noodles had a great texture and made for a tastisfying slurp.
Gigli, also known as campanelle, is a bell-shaped pasta designed to pair perfectly with rich, thick sauces, and Chicco nailed it with this dish. The pasta is coated in a flavourful combination of spicy salami paste and a mushroom medley, giving it a chewy texture like dumpling skin. The flavour profile is savoury, earthy, with a slight spicy kick and a hint of tanginess, likely from a creamy tomato sauce. For us, this dish outshone the crab pasta, as it had a more balanced taste and suited our palate better.
