We thought the ๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ต ๐— ๐—ถ ($5.50) was the least impressive item. The baguette could've been more crispy, while the tender chicken and the pate both tasted sweet, so the sweet + sweet combination was a bit too much for me. That said, the portion was very big and delivered bang for the buck.

The ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ต ๐—ฆ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐—น๐—น๐˜€ ($4.50) were another stellar item. A thin rice paper was wrapped around rice vermicelli, lettuce, carrot strips, shrimp and pork. Clean-tasting and refreshing, it felt light on the palate. Dipping it into the peanut sauce added depth to its flavour.

Forgive me when I say that my knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine is limited to pho and banh mi. Thus it was with great delight when I discovered a stall selling authentic Vietnamese food in a nondescript kopi tiam.

We ordered the ๐—•๐˜‚๐—ป ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ ๐—Ÿ๐—ผ๐˜ ($5.50) as it looked really interesting and wasn't something I'd tried before. I just learned that "bun cha" is a rice noodle dish with grilled pork. A large portion of soft and chewy rice noodles (basically thick bee hoon) was accompanied by five grilled pork rolls, two pork balls and a side of salad.

The pork rolls were wrapped in betel leaf -- an item I've never eaten before, nor one I knew could be eaten -- and the combination worked impeccably. The leaf lent an earthy flavour to the piquant pork. Dipping the rolls into the sweet sauce made them even more mouth-watering.

The pork balls were phenomenal. Superbly grilled, they possessed a light, crisp exterior and succulent interior. Put them in a burger or banh mi and it'll be a best seller. The salad here, made up of carrot and radish strips, played a crucial role as its refreshing profile helped cut through the grease. The crushed peanuts showered over this dish added a delightful crunch to every element.

Crispy yet soft Banh Mi combined with tasty chicken, loaded vegetables and generous amount of sauce is very nica and tasty. Never felling bored and portion was just nice.
