Some sweet bites to share with old friends. I like how the little rounds are pre-packed in a plastic holder before being placed into the box, keeps them in place and protected (although it's also less friendly to the environment).
If you're into yuzu, this is a must try. The homemade eggy crepe arrives slightly warm which is a nice contrast with the vanilla ice-cream on top. Drizzled generously all over the crepe is a marvellous zesty yuzu sauce. I adore the huge puffs of weightless chantilly cream bookending the scoop of ice cream. Large shards of white chocolate, a few raspberries and sweet blueberries add to the delight of this dessert. There are also toasted almonds which I thought, was a touch too dominant. On my next visit, I plan to ask them to leave out the almonds. My gut feel is the delicate yuzu flavour would shine even better without it.
Haha no! The top one is yuzu yoghurt and the bottom is violet. It was my sis's @hungrybaker idea to crop the photo this way! 😝 couldn't taste the yoghurt with the taste of the macaron shell so strong. The violet one was kind of brittle.
Enjoying my Le Royale ($8) from Canele before meeting my sis for our movie at the Arts House. Super decadent. Think rich chocolate, crispy praline and a beautiful chocolate glaze.
Children's Day Specials! We got PB&J, tomato & basil and malt & condensed milk. Thank you @nicbart 😘 #macarons #burpple
Le citron - tangy lemon curd with a sablé breton base. The base was disappointing though - wasn't buttery and crumbly..as though the moisture from the curd soaked through making it soggy ):
