Founded in 1998 by the late Boon Fong Juan, and just 1 of 4 stalls remaining from the now-defunct Long House Food Centre, his wife Rose Le has run the stall since 2011.
.
They use a signature, tempura-like batter for their fritters, resulting in a beautiful golden hue that's non-greasy, and a gentle crispy crunch to texture.
.
The sweet potato is tender and yields easily, releasing its vegetal sweet starchy flavours. The yam / taro is soft and comes apart in small chunks, with mild vegetal earthy savoury flavour.
.
The tapioca has a unique golden yellow hue, fragrant and soft with earthy sweet flavour. The fried banana / goreng pisang is creamy and soft, with addictive floral fruity sweet notes, shiok.

I have had a lot of Goreng Pisang before — none as crude-looking as this. Thankfully my uncreative mind doesn't bring me too far so I could get to savour that light batter coated around the fried banana which comes with a little salted flavour to compliment with the banana; perhaps one of the better ones around especially if you don't like those with the taste of overused oil or thick batter. Now I shall cross my fingers hoping I wouldn't get banned for posting such *ahem* goodness ...

The most well liked fruit on the planet. How can you resist! I have always preferred Malay hawker stall when it comes to pisang goreng. But this stall, originally from Longhouse, over-turned my perspective. "Indian" banana was used which is sweet and fragrant. The batter has the texture of premium 香蕉蝦筒 (shrimp banana fritter)! Best of all it does not give you that greasy aftertaste or smell. The stall also sells yam + 年糕 (Chinese rice cake), sweet potato, tapioca/cassava fritters!

Cempedak, Viet spring roll and their signature goreng pisang. The banana was fantastic as always. Fluffy and not greasy. Cempedak is so hit-and-miss. The very random spring roll sucked.
