The young team behind this cafe in sleepy SS17 keeps it real with their mission to feed the neighbourhood comfort fare and great coffee. It’s a small and cosy space, which is great for lingering with friends over a bottle of Cold Brew (RM13) and fresh bakes. The display counter showcases doughnuts, cakes and cinnamon rolls on rotation, and they're all done well. For something more substantial, you won't go wrong with the Toasted Sourdough (RM15) with eggs your way and mushroom ragout that will surely hit the spot.

This dark, decadent slice tastes like a dream. It also comes close to the chocolate cake out of a Matilda movie scene. It's the soft, warm chocolate cake with a shiny glaze on top, one that I would lock myself in a room with when life is tough. Only available on rotation as the cafe does a range of other kickass baked goods, so call ahead if you're heading here for this particular dessert.
Look to the all-day menu for this hit; my kind of breakfast bowl with two crisp, fantastic sourdough slices, easy scrambled eggs and creamy mushroom ragout. It doesn’t come with those cheddar slices — those came free from a cheese-averse dining companion’s plate.
The rocket leaves almost feel out of place, but I personally love rocket and don’t really care whether they fit the dish if I’m getting some.
Nestled in the reserved SS17 neighbourhood, this cafe with maximum chill vibes — wooden everything and upside down plants! — rises above with a menu of feel-good food that hits the spot for all ages. It's never easy passing up on their Cheese Sandwich (RM10) that packs hot, oozy cheese between house-baked sourdough, so do it only to try the classic OG Waffle (RM8), a delightfully dense sourdough waffle served with butter and maple syrup. When here for dinner, try their Lucy Juicy (RM15) a double-beef patty brioche bun burger that hits the spot. A good number of items are shy of the RM15 mark, promising great value in their generous portions. If you can set aside a separate budget for good joe, spend it on Analog's killer Filter Coffee (from RM14), spanning selections from all over the world. Here's another piece of good news for you: parking in this residential area is easy and better still, free.

If you’re looking for a little sustenance/pick-me-up as the day wears on, Analog's sourdoughs is your answer. Put on your lose pants and find comfort in their sloppy joe’s (with egg) — my absolute go-to. It’s filling and messy, and no one’s going to judge you for indulging with your hands.

For RM14, this is the meanest burger you can get around here. The soft brioche buns are heavenly to sink your teeth into while within double patties of deeply flavoured beef and caramelised onions pull you into their delicious embrace. The rockets will help make you feel a tad better about devouring the double patty, and for a consolation, it's damn good too.
