For $14 the meat serving was generous, and super flavourful! The soba was Qy and the soup taste good too. It doesn’t get to crowded and is a pretty quiet and chill place in plaza sing.
What attracted me to @akimitsusg was the smell of tempura when I walked past it the other day and I came back to give it a try! I had the promo item which was Truffle Tar Tar Ebi Tenjyu. I liked how the truffle fragrance went well with the creamy tartar sauce along with the crispy tempura prawns. This came as a set with miso soup, chawanmushi and hojicha which was quite a good deal! My friend had the signature tendon and it had a large variety of ingredients and was very filling too! 😋

Gyudon ($15)
Price Rating: $
Ambience: 2*
Gyudon, in a tempura place, yes, I didn’t order fried food. If you’ve read my previous reviews, you’ll know why.
So friends, if you get called to Akimitsu that specializes in amazing tempura dishes in large portions, but want to give the oily foods a pass, this Gyudon is here to save the day. Soft, tender and moist, it is comforting to eat. Though the beef tends to be a little too bland for my taste, it is an OK meal.

Hokkaido Milk Pudding ($5.90)
Price Rating: $
Ambience: 2*
Jiggly pudding when you shake it, this milk pudding has a slightly chewy texture to it and that's what I like. The Hokkaido Milk taste was milder and I’m the kind of person who loves rich, thicc and flavourful dairy products, but it’s not too bad for 5 bucks.
I think this restaurant is famous for their tempura but the funny thing is I didn't order any tempura 😂 However I must say the udon and fried chicken was really good. And this set comes with a mini chawanmushi. UDON know about me but I love it when my food are piping hot when being served. And they did it right! They fried the chicken to perfection and the udon has so much flavour on its own. Although the last mouth of the udon soup is kinda salty but overall it's good. Anyway they have free flow of beansprout like those Japanese ramen restaurant however they have this unique taste to it which I can't really tell what's it..... And I must say it's pretty bad 😅
Very interesting to find out that the curry is watery rather than thick gravy. The udon is average but I like their free flow appetizers - preserved bean sprouts and radish 👍
