Quality Music + Ambience + Coffee/Tea = Acoustic Cafe We harbour a love to unwind in a warm and crisp ambience but have found cafรฉs out there too noisy. Many times, we were forced to leave due to the unbearable noise. It was from that point that we started looking into the sound treatment of our cafรฉ. Music can be a powerful thing; it drives the tempo of your heartbeat and it can blanket you with an air of repose. It is in this belief that we furnish ourselves with a finely tuned sound system, for it is through acoustics that we create warmth and tranquility. There is an audiophile in all of us. We just need the right tune. Ditch your sound bar. Come and enjoy something different.

The ๐—”๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜€ ๐——๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ($7) saved the day. Crumbs arranged in a circle surrounded a dollop of cream cheese in the centre, together with strawberry slices placed equidistant apart. The flavours and textures combined brilliantly, and it tasted divine.

I wouldnโ€™t mind coming back for the desserts and coffee, but Iโ€™d skip the weekday set lunch.

The ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐˜€๐—ฎ ๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ป, with crispy skin and tender flesh, was complemented by a mildly spicy laksa sauce that gave it more oomph.

While the proteins were good, the sides had much room for improvement. The scrambled eggs werenโ€™t creamy enough and the tomatoes had a funny taste. Perhaps they werenโ€™t fresh, I canโ€™t be sure.

Didnโ€™t know Acoustics Coffee Bar has weekday set lunches (rice bowl + iced tea). I thought $12 was reasonable for a cafe in town, so decided to give it a try. Each bowl came with fluffy Japanese short-grain rice, scrambled egg, corn, roasted tomatoes and picked daikon.

The ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฃ๐—ผ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐—™๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ต was competently fried to a glorious golden brown. Augmented by teriyaki & mayo drizzle, it tasted delicious.

Two options to choose from - Breaded Pollock Fish or Laksa Roasted Chicken. Opted for the fish version which came with Japanese rice, scrambled egg, corn, roasted tomato, lettuce and pickled daikon. The fish was breaded and fried to a nice crisp and the scrambled egg was buttery and moist. With some mayo and teriyaki sauce, this rice bowl was light in flavours and satisfying. Not to mention a very chill and cozy place to have coffee which I topped up $2 for to change the iced tea.

Very intense calamansi taste but balanced out with the vodka infused cream and the crumbles. Would recommend for anyone who likes a sour dessert.

Simply love the look and feel of this warm and cozy cafe. Tried their rice bowl lunch set and topped up $2 for a good cup of coffee. The white cold brew was smooth, medium bodied, and slightly sweetened and with distinctive bright notes. Love it! ๐Ÿ‘
