On the pricier side but there's unique toppings, coconut yogurt. Acai sweetness just right with hint of cocoa tho it melted quite fast. Think my batch of granola wasn't very fresh alr there's a weird smell & aftertaste. Other than that it's quite nice! Choco lovers will like the choco themed toppingsš«
BYOB Acai Bowl ($7.50)
really interesting to see more new acai shop comeback after a couple of year back. I remembered that the acai affair really opened it out towards the market a couple of year back to 2015? After that some of the food trend take over the acai, the acai goes down again. But time proved that acai just comeback with new concept and marketing, I doubt that they will be going down that soon since more people prefer to stay health lifestyle after covid. But I wanted to get their best selling flavour (Choc "treat yo-self") as I decided to save for next time. I got original acai, granola and three fruits (green apples, strawberry and orange) for BYOB Acai Bowl. Acai don't have "icy" texture and just nice texture.
I got the Nutella based Acai, and this was just not it. Perhaps its personal preference but Iāve never encountered such acai with icy consistency.. and Iāve had multiple acais (The Summer Acai, Coocaca, Acai Affair, etc.) but this just doesnāt hit the spot.
The palm-sized acai appeared tiny but felt heavy on the hands, for $7.50, mostly filled with acai base.
A plus though, just 50 cents to swap the milk in my coffee to oat milk. Coffee itself tasted more bitter perhaps due to the healthier alternative.
If you would like to give it a try, please I will not recommend you getting the chocolate based one..
Acai here was fucking bomb <3 definitely worth the wait & š°ļ¼ļ¼ļ¼
Choc Treat Yoāself (Large) - $14.50
Saw some good reviews on Google for this particular specialty bowl so decided to try it, and was very disappointed.
The white thing on top is their house-made coconut yogurt. It was unsweetened and served at room temperate which was very odd - shouldnāt yogurt be cold? The acai was blended with cacao which made it too bitter, I would have preferred something sweeter. Lastly, the chunks on top which was something like a raw brownie was so dense and rich but not in a good way (it made my teeth hurt so maybe I have cavities lol)
Positives:
1. The acai itself had just the right consistency - perfectly icy yet smooth texture.
2. Fruits were fresh and sweet.
Maybe chocolate acai is just not for me. Though I have a friend who ordered this through foodpanda and did not like it too. Hopefully their other acai bowls are nicer but Iām not sure if I would take the chance of giving it another shot.
