Lychee Fruit Tea | $3.70 Lychee Fruit Tea was on their must try list so I decided to give it a go. Although I already went for 0% sugar, it was on the sweet side already. This drink gave a bit of pokka bottled sweet drink vibe, but was still rather decent. Rate:🌟🌟

Torched Mentaiko Takoyaki | $7.40 Similar experience with the box of classic takoyaki, the octopus balls here were on the dry side especially because there was a lack of sauce. While the mentaiko was creamy and nice, there was really not much sauce lathered on each octopus ball that would have been enough for a more enjoyable experience. Laksa Hokkien Mee | $8.90 Actually surprised at how this was executed. While i thought it was more dry laksa than hokkien mee, it did the job of satisfying my laksa craving especially with the savouriness being pretty on point. A huge bonus is the generous portion of ingredients! The plate was choke full of fishcake, taupok, egg, and prawns🤤 my favorite laksa is just a stone’s throw away from Power Coffee House, but I’d still recommend this cafe quietly nestled in the heartlands of Bedok 85. Burpple Beyond Value Combo Had: - Strip-loin Beef + Shiitake & Button Mushroom Don - Grilled Teriyaki Chicken + Grilled Salmon Salad The don has a soft boiled egg, corn, and broccoli. The salad consists of greens, broccoli, cherry tomato, corn and carrot! We ordered chose medium doneness for beef, a little bit tough as expected for medium but still nice! They were delicious and the Burpple deal is totally worth it for its portion! Filling indeed. A chill and quiet place for a Friday evening!

Teriyaki Chicken + Mushroom Don The portions here are SUPER GENEROUS. I could barely see the rice under all the ingredients! It was quite delicious as well, managed to finish the toppings, but couldn’t quite finish the rice haha! It’s super worth with the beyond deal! Either go on a super empty stomach, or with more friends to share! It’s the same store as Kraft Kitchen, and there’s quite a decent selection of desserts too!

Disappointing, overpriced Visited a few weeks ago and was declined burpple beyond 1 for 1 for most dishes - claims that burpple isnt updated. Sure, ordered full price anyway - the XXL jumbo hokkien mee and truffle wanton mee. Jumbo hokkien mee had no wok hei at all, the prawns were meh, whole dish was kinda mushy. Truffle wanton mee had no flavour except for the overwhelming smell of truffle oil - guess the 2 fried wanton on top was nice. Better off going to any hawker centre for much better food for a much lower price. Also waited for almost an hour even though there were no one around, though I could see the chefs? coming in and out the kitchen with their own food for themselves while we were waiting in hunger ):

From their Wanton Mee But Better ($8) upgraded with shrimp wanton and black truffle, to their Braised Minced Pork Ramen ($9), this bowl of goodness sees 12 hours braised pork cooked to tender perfection, prawn wanton, potato shrimp with ebiko and onsen egg. Try their Squid Ink Prawn Noodles ($11), which was "definitely a signature! It made your wet Hokkien mee even more slurpy with infusion of unami flavour" according to Burppler Iris Lim.

The serving size is a bit smaller but its still worth it given the variety of ingredients you get. I personally still prefer regular braised pork rice, but stew lovers should try this.

Worst steak | Avoid Poorly executed steak - ordered a medium but steak doneness was more like medium-rare (service staff / boss couldn't even tell which was the medium steak when we asked - he probably didn't even note to cook this as a medium?) Steak was also tough and chewy, definitely one of the poorer steaks around. Truffles fries had no truffle taste, and mashed potato had a weird texture. Was also told we couldn't use burpple but staff eventually relented when we shared that the app allows it. Was a terrible piece of steak and not worth the calories imo (not even a 1for1 deal will make it platable). Will not return. + saw that the shop has drastically shrank / downsized from its previous 2 storefronts to its small shop now, the quality and attitude of the shop owner is probably the reason why. ++ saw two poor souls who walked in after us and were misled into believing that burpple wasn't available for redemption when it clearly was. And then was sold into paying for a Wagyu flight meal.

Tenderloin | $40.50 A small restaurant located along the busy street opposite i12 Katong, Stirling Steaks served up one mean steak. Went for the tenderloin which was executed well, a nice sear that was delicately marinated, and unsurprisingly, very tender. The side of truffle fries were a tad too oily, but still delicious. Would definitely come back here with the Burpple 1-for-1 deal - so worth it! Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lo-Cal Chicken Rice ($8.00) Loving the play of words - this chicken rice bowl is 446 calories according to Kipos’ website. Brown “chicken” rice, sou vide chicken, carrots, cucumber with home made chicken rice chilli. I was really full after the meal and pleasantly surprised at the chicken rice taste it had - definitely sufficient to fulfil any chicken rice cravings without sacrificing your calories. At 2 bowls at $8 with Burpple Beyond - mega worth!!

Lo-Cal Chicken Rice ($8) Chicken rice but with less guilt - I like how this place takes local foods and puts a healthy twist to it - such as putting sou vide chicken on brown rice. Veggies were fresh. Tastewise, obviously not as delicious as our familiar local dish but it’s a pretty good healthier alternative. They also write the amount of calories of each dish on their menu, which is a nice touch. Quite worth it with the Beyond 1-for-1 deal. They do takeaways as well.
