226 Years Shoyu Recipe Ultimate Ramen This ramen place no need to introduce further for their famous fire performance, but their popularity has since quiet down. There’s only two table occupied when I came on weekday dinner time. When you order the signature ramen with their 226 years shoyu recipe, you get to choose whether you want to experience the fire show or not. If this is your first time then you should go for it at least once. Get your camera ready as they’re pouring the fire onto your bowl of ramen at the counter. This unique taste of ramen blended with their chicken broth and flaming Negi juice, an original shoyu ramen recipe from Kyoto. The ultimate ramen comes with chashu, pork slice, egg, seaweed and corns. The portion is available to choose from either regular or lite. So if you prefer to have lesser noodles, the lite portion will reduced to half of regular.

Disappointed Quite disappointed with the repeated order. The serving was lacking of abalone, blueberries , pear sticks, a pair of oranges in the second order and amount of vegetables and fruits was very little compared to first order. Was told by the staff there’s a surcharge for abalone which was not stated on the promotion poster next to the cashier! They were out of blueberries. In end my order was topped with abalone and a pair of oranges.

Cheap And Good Hotpot Cheap and Solid hotpot spotted at the newer district of Yishun which surprisely had been there over a year.😮 With soup base starting from $1, that's right, $1, you get to enjoy rich savoury broth that bound to satisfy your hotpot craving at a budget price. We had the Couple Set($19.90) which consists of 2 kinds of tastisfying rich soup base, vegetable platter, hotpot platter, 2 choices of meat and 2 choices of carb. We also add-on Dory Fish Fillet($3.90) and Homemade Prawn Paste($4.90) to satisfy our hunger.🤤 I love the rich tasty awesome soup base especially the Nutrition Herbal Chicken Soup. You can really taste the thick herbs and savouriness in it.😋 Signature Mala was spicy, savoury and a little numbing but kinda too oily for us to handle. Literally every scoop of the soup is oil.🤨 Their soup base will rotate once in a while to keep it fresh for those who doesn't want to have the same soup base every time they come by. Meat quality and portion given were okay for the price. Love the prawn paste too.😍 Surprise surprise they even had a mini sauce making section. Nice.👍 With Kopitiam card used for payment, I get a 10% discount on the overall bill which leads to us paying ~$13 each. Hotpot Been a while since I last visited them. Still making us full despite the quality seems to drop a little. The mushroom soup wasn't as mushroomy as it used to be. Other soup were alright and suit accordingly to local taste. Food wise generally were thawed, clean and plated properly. Advice y'all to go normal buffet as there are many items to have already unless want seafood or some small bites. Check the bills pls They got our bills wrong but I didn’t notice that at the time. Feeling cheated. Two of us ordered essential but the bill was 81.6. We left in a rush for a movie and didn’t check/get the receipt. Well played.

Feeling Cheated I have tried xiao cao xiang at toa payoh before and I think it was nice and affordable. When they closed and xiangcao reopened, I was sad but happy that the legacy continue. I saw the menu in their Facebook for that price makes me happy and I went. However, sad to learn that it is only for premium buffet and the price is quite significant. xiao cao xiang seems to have offered better ingredient at a lower price. Please update your menu items and price clearly. It is very misleading Also, do indicate the soup charges in your online menu.

Lobster and Crab Roll Price is decent and food portion is just nice

Wagyu beef cubes ($18) 🥩 8/10 Enjoy laid-back vibes here as you sip wine next to the paya lebar malls! I liked the ambience here but it didn't really justify the high prices of the food & drinks. Beef cubes were perfectly seared outside yet so tender and pink within! I could bite through each tiny nugget easily. A must-order if you're a meat-lover even though this dish isn't included in the 1 for 1 bar bite deals and the portion size is small. Canadian oysters ($3 each) 🐚 Not a fan of oysters but H said this was juicy, plump and affordable. What more could you ask of oysters?

Mala Chicken This was marked as Foodking good. Was okay lah, quite addictive. But more chilli bits than chicken.

Beef Cubes From The Hideout Juicy beef cubes with salt, pepper & garlic. Awesome vibe.

Japanese Goma Wings & Deep Fried Oyster From Tapas menu on the table top: Japanese Goma wings 5 pieces at $10, awesome tender meat inside and savoury skin with sesame seed. Deep Fried Oyster 5 pieces at $10, plump juicy oyster inside the crispy outer thin crust. Yummy. By the way, every Thursday nights ‘live singing performance’ do stay for the entertainment.

Royal Chocolate Served chilled. Soft chocolate layers simply melts in the mouth. $5.50 a slice.
