Visited Shukuu Izakaya with my partner after seeing it on TikTok! The atmosphere was really nice, and mimicked an Izakaya bar in Japan.
Both of our favourites was definitely the Gindara Misoyaki, which is on the seasonal dinner menu. The fish tasted really fresh and also was well marinated! The kushiyaki are also also a must-try, we got the Chicken Thigh in Shin, and the Pork Belly in Tare.
Was craving for herbal soup and I was in its vicinity of Tan Ser Seng Herbs Restaurant! It was my first time trying the soups in the restaurant as my mom usually packets the soup back home for me. Decided to be adventurous and tried the Double Boiled Turtle Soup for the first time, which was very flavourful and packed with nutrients! Definitely a must-try if you have not before.
We also had the following: Cordyceps Chicken Soup, Prawn Roll, Cai Po Omelette and Jade Tofu. Needless to say, my partner and I were stuffed at the end of the meal. My personal favourite was the Cai Po Omelette, the restaurant was extremely generous with the cai po, and that really made my day 🙂
If I were craving for Chinese soups, I would definitely head back to Tan Ser Seng Herbs to get my regular soup fix!
Visited Meadesmoore for a date night with my partner after hearing so many good reviews about them!
We had a good start to the meal with the Blue Prawn Capellini which was really fragrant, followed by the star of the show which was The Meadesmoore Cut. We got to try three different cuts with this one dish, and my personal favourite was the flat iron :) We paired the beef together with the bordelaise and salsa verde sauces, which were recommended by the server, along with the Grilled Brocollini.
The night ended perfectly with the Tiramisu dessert, which the server told us was a signature at the restaurant. I love my tiramisus and this was really one of the best tiramisu I’ve tried, I would return to the restaurant just for it!
Was around the neighbourhood and decided to try Paradise Pizza as we were also craving for some pizzas!
We ordered a starter, pizza and pasta to share. The Deep Fried Burrata was a good start to our meal, followed by the Wagyu Bolognese and Bismark Blanc Sourdough Pizza. I really enjoyed the pizza and am dreaming of it as I’m typing this review!
We had the perfect end to the meal with a tiramisu! Cant wait to be back to try the other pizzas :)
Had a sumptuous meal with my partner at One Prawn & Co on a lovely Sunday night!
We enjoyed 3 bites, 3 smalls and 1 hearth.
Our personal favourite was definitely the Prawn Toast and Aioli! It was crispy, yet the prawn was juicy, and it paired really well with the aioli. We couldn’t stop wow-ing and I’m salivating just thinking about it! Two dishes that stood out were the Love Letter with Ankimo Mousse and Squid Noodles and Ink, they were nothing like any dishes we had before. Of course, the Haddock Burger was also something we would recommend all to try!
All ingredients used were super fresh, and to top it off, the open kitchen concept was really cool as we could see the chefs in action as they meticulously prepared our food! Can’t wait to come back for another date night ❤️
Really like this cosy little spot in Tanjong Katong! Had lunch here on a cooling weekday so we enjoyed the al fresco setting :)
We tried the Black Sea Pappardelle, Double Bacon Smash Burger, Crabmeat Carrot Cake, along with a hot latte and the Secret White Cold Brew! We really enjoyed the food and would definitely be back to try the other food offerings!
Enjoyed dinner with my partner at Le Cheng on a weekday evening! The Kampung Chicken was very fragrant, together with the chilli sauce which had a kick to it. I also appreciated that there was ginger sauce provided as well :)
We could order from the zi char stall beside too, so we got the hotplate tofu and sambal kangkong! Would be back to try more of their dishes too!
Always wanted to try Hopscotch and finally did at their Gardens by the Bay outlet!
We tried the Duck Confit with Foie Gras and Barramundi Fish and Chips, as well as one of their cocktails called Secret Remedy, which was served in a ceramic calabash.
They had a wide selection of interesting cocktails as well and we were spoilt for choice, cant wait to come back to try the others!
Had dinner together with my partner at this unassuming restaurant located in the heart of CBD! We shared 1 starter, 2 mains and 1 dessert and were both stuffed at the end of the night!
My personal favourite would definitely be the Grass-Fed Ribeye, the beef melted in our mouths and the accompanied red wine sauce matched it really well.
The manager Roger(?) and the staff on that night was really attentive to us as well, compliments to the both of them!
Recently visited Hong Kong Cha Kee with a friend and we tried the following dishes: Baked Rice with Pork Chop & Tomato, Stir Fried Rice Noodles with Seafood, Iced HK Style Milk Tea and Hot Coffee. We also took away the Scrambled Egg with Fresh Prawns on Rice.
Highly recommend the Scrambled Egg with Fresh Prawns on Rice, the portion was very substantial and the prawns were really huge as well! It was interesting to see the milk tea served in a big bowl of ice, so as not to dilute the milk tea.
Tried the Chef’s Seasonal Lunch Menu this afternoon with a friend and it was really value for money! We had the 4-course meal, which consisted of 2 starters, 1 main and 1 dessert, and were both stuffed at the end of the course.
We will definitely return for our favourite, which was the Cold Angel hair pasta with Oscietra caviar. The apple tart was also really special and different from any of the apple tarts we have ever had.
Compliments to the staff for being extremely attentive and welcoming. My photos definitely don’t do justice to the delicious food that we had at Gunther’s, you’d have to try it for yourself!
First time at Zhup Zhup and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s been a few days since l’ve had lunch there but I’m still dreaming of the rich prawn broth!
Shared 2 mains and 2 sides with a friend, which was honestly a lot, but we managed to finish everything up. We had: Supreme Prawn Noodles with Dry Kway Tiao, Pao Fan, Ngoh Hiang Tasting Platter and Har Cheong Gai. The star was definitely the prawn noodles and its accompanying soup! Would recommend everyone to go and try the rich prawn broth (:
