This is a Michelin Bib Gourmand in Hong Kong famous for local comfort food. I personally don't think it's that fantastic but I guess it definitely makes for an affordable and decently delicious meal. This is comfort food for the tired legs if you are a tourist and definitely comfort food for the locals after a hard days work.

I got a soft spot for baby back ribs and this one is pretty good! The meat falls off the bones easily and I liked it that the ribs are seasoned with a tangy BBQ sauce that makes the entire meal easy to finish without feeling 'jelat'. Worth a try if you love ribs like me!

cookie texture was off, but still makes for a good dessert cos the ice cream was good and the lava flowed 👌🏼

I brought my friend to try the dark gallery after dinner as our dessert. Turns out the place was rather small so be prepared to wait for seats. The environment was Cafe like so it's really not conducive for eat and go which means longer unpredictable waiting time. The chocolate rhapsody we tried is a 3 flavored (dark, milk and white) chocolate ice cream bowl which goes well with the chocolate crumbs and meringue that the bowl comes with. It's a good balance without too much bitterness or excessive sweetness. I give it 5 stars. I took the opportunity to try the much raved about Pasta Boutique when I was in Bedok. It's located at a coffeeshop. The pasta is really above average compared to many other coffee shop pastas but it's still not my preferred choice because I've still tasted better ones out there. I'll rate them as the king of coffee shop pastas among the pastas I've tried at coffee shops (not many lol). But be prepared to pay close to $10 for it. So well you pay for what you get...

Everytime I look at this photo I get reminded of the big juicy crab pincers. For a non Crab lover, eating this plump and succulent meaty pincer can make one dream of crabs for a week. I ended up going to the Crab buffet at Park Royal Hotel shortly after this visit. Expensive indulgence but worth it. The Crab buffet can't compare to the crabs at uncle leong seafood.

I had this during the Ramadan period with my Muslim friends. I was pleasantly surprised by the dish especially the chilli. Having said that it's fried. Eating too much and the chicken felt a bit dry and difficult to finish. It's still worth the calories for the occasional indulgence!

This is probably the most affordable ramen I have tasted that made the mark and is extremely generous with their ingredients. I was impressed that the broth is close to those ramen I pay $16-17 for and the generous char siew and egg that comes with it. Why do I need to go to such ramen joints when So offers me $10 ramen of equal quality?

I never knew that Thai food consist of instant noodles. I always thought that Thai noodles are like the glass noodles and pad thai. So imagine my fascination when my colleague told me about this Pad Mama which I chose seafood to be fried with it. It's awesome, really nice, not oily or sticky and definitely a quick fix lunch!

The ramen at Tsuta are really different from your regular ramen joint because it's Soba. I must add that I found the broth to be on the lighter side with a unique taste as well. Can't exactly pin point whether this is better or not but the highlight of the bowl is the char siew and egg! It's awesome. I've never tasted something better. Charsiew was crunchy and chewy but its nowhere near hard. The egg was another display of great execution and skill. Got to try it at least once!

This cafe is currently my favourite chill cafe. For some reason I can really read well here and enjoy a cuppa coffee with really comfy seats. I find the music soothing and it doesn't disrupt my concentration. I also like it that it's quiet enough maybe thanks to the paragon atas crowd.

A friend brought me here and I really like their evening deals because there is free flow alcohol! Even for a non alcoholic person like me, I enjoy the occasional cold brews and it helps that the Japanese hotpot broth is really clean and healthy. It's a classic Japanese hang out for casual meet ups and long chats with hot food to match the rainy weather when I was there.
