Was j walk-in around painting the city red w a certain someone on cny eve trying to find a place that’s open to eat 🎊🧧.

After around 18k++ steps (😫) we decided to settle upon this cute lil burger bar tucked in the side of a building, along the road.

Wasn’t that hungry so I ordered the only chickin burgir option on the menu (Buttermilk Crispy Chicken - $16 w/o service charge etc etc).

I was served a burger with a soft fluffy bun, crispy and juicy fried chicken πŸ“, and a mayo-e, tang-e sauce on top of it. It came with a side of pickles, onions and tomatoes that u could choose to put in the burger.

Overall, it was a nice burger. Nothing else to say. πŸ‘

p.s: the staff were really nice (cracking jokes and all), and the vibe of the place was really chill :). Consider buying burger number 2 if you’re into beef and burrata, i was told it’s unique and yummy πŸ˜‹.

Headed out to cq after a reaaaaally long time in-order to celebrate another friend’s birthday πŸŽ‰ Made the decision to go to this arcade/bar called level up ⬆️.

BEST. DECISION. EVER.

There were 12 of us so to get a table we had a 600$ minimum spend πŸ€‘. But it was worth it as essentially we got unlimited coins to play as many games πŸ•ΉοΈ as we wanted too, with really good live entertainment in the background 🎸. Really the music @ level up was just something else all together 😍

The food was unexpectedly very good πŸ‘ πŸ‘ We started out with a fries platter which we absolutely devoured in no time 😝. The platter had an assortment of fries (curly and the sweet potato fries were my personal favourite). It came with 4 really yummy dipping sauces as well πŸ˜‹

We then had some chicken poppers (not in picture) which were really crispy and flavourful (🌢️). We ordered some pizzas to go around. I only tried the mushroom and egg pizza and it was pretty damn good 😌. The runny egg j seems like a really unique pizza topping 🍳 but it plays w the rest of the ingredients pretty well.

Finally, we finished off with a nice vanilla ice cream and brownie note (had walnuts in it unfortunately πŸ₯²). It was good (common brownie win πŸ₯‡).

Everything about level up is phenomenal, except for the service. Yet again all the staff seemed extra frustrated. Running a bar must be tough work πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Found ourselves at the top of Marina Bay Sands at LAVO upon being kicked out of Ce La Vie for being young thugs 😀

It was the eve of my friend’s birthday, so we wanted to have dinner at a special restaurant, and LAVO’s vibe sure does not disappoint 😫

We ordered the Margherita πŸ… ($32), Truffle πŸ„($33), and Carne πŸ₯“ ($37) pizzas. I suggest you skip the Margherita, as it paled in comparison to the other two pizzas.

The Truffle pizza πŸ„ did not have a strong truffle taste (which I enjoyed, as in my experience some dishes get completely dominated by the truffle flavour πŸ˜”). This flavour was subtly complimented by the other toppings (ricotta, arugula and wild mushrooms!) giving it a very fresh, yet complex taste πŸ‘… .

The Carne pizza πŸ₯“ was LOADED with what i think were hams (Salame, Prosciutto etc etc). I enjoyed it very much as the flavours were deep, and yet didn’t have the heavy meaty and greasy taste that this kind of meat tends contain (imo as a small animal eater at least πŸ₯Ί). It looked really pretty as well ☺️.

We also ordered the Rigatoni Melanzana pasta πŸ†πŸ…($36) and the Spaghetti Carbonara πŸ§€πŸ₯“($38). The star of the Rigatoni Melanzana was the buffalo mozzarella. The sauce was mediocre at best. Meanwhile, the spaghetti carbonara was creamy and rich. Regardless, it’s safe to say that both pastas were nothing special.

The service was subpar on the day we went, the staff seemed kinda annoyed which was a buzzkill 🐝 πŸ”ͺ. (This might have been because we arrived at around 10:30 pm, but from my previous experience service at LAVO is usually exceptional, maybe they were having an off day). They did however bring out a pastry in the end FOC to give the birthday girl πŸ₯³πŸΎ

Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and we all had a memorable night 🀍.

Decided to checkout this noodle bar in order to leach off of my friend’s burpple premium subscription (ending soon πŸ˜›)

I got the Dry Shredded Chicken Sesame Noodles πŸ”πŸœ for ($10.80 i think). It came w this beautiful tomato soup which was perfectly tangy πŸ…πŸ₯« (tastes like haidilao apparently i wouldn’t know πŸ˜”). The noodles were fresh and springy and the sesame sauce was light and refreshing 🧊🀀.

U can see an extra egg in the picture, that’s because my friend doesn’t like Hanjuku eggs (sacrilege fr 😑) but idm cause he gave it to me (protein gains fam πŸ’ͺ). The egg was a bit over done but it was still yummy πŸ‘.

Towards the end i added some chilli oil and that was bussin as well πŸ‘©β€πŸ³

Overall probably the best sesame noodles i’ve ever had, try it out!

Went for a coffee break at Joe and Dough and was met w a spectacular view of the singapore skyline 🀩.

Really wanted to try the key lime tart but since it was a β€œnetworking” type of situation I decided to go for a drink instead. (call me a sheep, i can’t escape the matrix πŸ˜ͺ)

I got the iced matcha chocolate latte 🧊🍡($7.4), and was pleasantly surprised! The chocolate was DARK (best kind of chocolate fight me) and decadent. It complemented the bright and creamy nature of the matcha well (the texture was almost reminiscent of an avocado shake 😍)

I was walking around the amoy hawker center listlessly, visibly overwhelmed by the sheer number of options available when I came across β€œA noodle story”. 🍜

i’m not a pork eater, but upon seeing the numerous accolades and news articles (cough cough Michelin Guide certificate πŸ₯΅) displayed at the stall, I HAD to give it a try.

My experience began when I asked the uncle at the stall for the menu only to be met w a confused look. There is only one item in the menu - I had already blundered πŸ˜”.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly after that. The dish I ordered was supposed to be a mordern singapore take on ramen + some cool science stuff make it v yummy πŸ”¬πŸœ ($9.80).

As for the dish, the noodles were springy and fresh ♨️, but the star of the show imo were the sides: tempura ebi 🍀, prawn wonton πŸ₯Ÿ and fish cake (i think lol). Despite being fried they were all pretty light and pleasant.

OH and the egg was πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ’‹ absolutely delightful 😩

I tried the chashu as well, and surprisingly I quite enjoyed it. It was soft and yummy. But since I don’t like eating big animals I did not finish it 🐷🚫.

HONESTLY right, if you told me this was from any normal hawker stall i’d believe it… Maybe i’m just not cut out to be a connoisseur πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

but i’d give this a Rating: 3.5/5

I ordered the Spaghetti in the Homemade Tomato Sauce with Chicken for $11.80. The chicken was juicy πŸ’¦ and yummy πŸ˜‹ but it’s similar to a pretty average chicken chop at a hawker stall…. (not complaining). As for the β€œhomemade tomato sauce”, I think tomato juice would be a more accurate description πŸ˜”πŸ§ƒ(it’s watery and bland). If I ever have to eat here again i’d probably go for the all day breakfast set instead 🍳.
