Disappointing, overpriced Visited a few weeks ago and was declined burpple beyond 1 for 1 for most dishes - claims that burpple isnt updated. Sure, ordered full price anyway - the XXL jumbo hokkien mee and truffle wanton mee. Jumbo hokkien mee had no wok hei at all, the prawns were meh, whole dish was kinda mushy. Truffle wanton mee had no flavour except for the overwhelming smell of truffle oil - guess the 2 fried wanton on top was nice. Better off going to any hawker centre for much better food for a much lower price. Also waited for almost an hour even though there were no one around, though I could see the chefs? coming in and out the kitchen with their own food for themselves while we were waiting in hunger ):

For 1-for-1 Main Dish (save ~$10) Think traditional hawker fare but upgraded when you visit this noodle bar at Syed Alwi Road. From their Wanton Mee But Better ($8) upgraded with shrimp wanton and black truffle, to their Braised Minced Pork Ramen ($9), this bowl of goodness sees 12 hours braised pork cooked to tender perfection, prawn wanton, potato shrimp with ebiko and onsen egg. Try their Squid Ink Prawn Noodles ($11), which was "definitely a signature! It made your wet Hokkien mee even more slurpy with infusion of unami flavour" according to Burppler Iris Lim.

Pricey For Portions We ordered the signature steak, king prawns and fish of the week (applicable for Burpple 1-1). We enjoyed the prawns the most. Steak is medium rare (cannot change), it was good but a bit unevenly cooked. Some slices were super rare. Fish of the week was salmon - felt a bit disappointed bc the cut was so small and salmon is a pretty common fish protein. But overall, fish was cooked well. We decided to come here bc we really enjoyed the food at BURN. But we felt that the food here wasn’t as fantastic, and palette wise items were quite similar. The protein portion was pretty tiny and the veggies took up half the plate. Plus pricey for the portion size without Burpple ($30-$35 per dish). Ok 😶 Good Great

Rib of Fire Delicious food here! It was so good that the plate was wipe down clean, love the tenderness of the meat and the sauce paired with this beauty. Apart from this Rib of Fire, there were many other stunning dishes worthwhile. Not to mention, happy hour on drinks! 😊

Waffles with Ice Cream I got myself a scoop of hazelnut ice cream to go with the waffles. Ice cream was good but the waffles wasn’t as crisp as I’d expected it to be. Fluffy but pretty soft/nua waffles.

Milk Cheesecake 9++ Kind of like ice cream almost, it's alright but not stunning in any way. Girl liked it tho Overall this place is very overpriced esp since burpple beyond is not very useful here, plus the waiting time is ridiculous. I have to say there aren't many Caribbean places yet tho, so given how this is more authentic than Limehouse they probably have some advantage for a while.

Pulpo Gallego 19++ I really liked this. There's a certain heat but the flavours are absolutely intense. It's braised octopus with chorizo and raisins. The octopus is pretty chewy but it's used brilliantly by pairing it w an intense sauce and cutting it into small chunks so the bite actually works. There's a certain heat to it too and the thyme? Bread which was crumbly worked passably w it. Not very worth it given the size but I adored this dish

Jerk Ckn 13++ THE BURPPLE BEYOND DEAL IS JUST FOR A FREE FRIED DISH, NOT ANYTHING ON THE MENU Pretty worth it, solid portion for the price. there's a bit of the spices that's reminiscent of the Cajun spices, but otherwise this dish is really hot.

Chicken ala Carbonara Diced chicken cooked in creamy parmesan sauce. Pasta was al dente and chicken was juicy. Overal taste good, suitable for kids too. Do take note that portion is quite big.

Squid Ink Pasta Squid ink curry pasta looks decent but delicious! May not see any chilli but it is very spicy. Nevertheless you can still taste the squid ink eventhough it is spicy. Damn good, highly recommended. Quite big portion.

Oven Baked Bone Marrow Bone marrow topped with caviar and garlic bread by the side. First time trying the caviar was a little salty. But great combination of eating the garlic bread with bone marrow.

Lamb Shank so much goodness packed into 1 plate. the meat slid off the bone effortlessly and was super succulent. mixed with its special spice and herbs sauce which was so unique and delectable. the blue pea rice was also very tasty and fragrant. finished the last bite wanting for more

For 1-for-1 Main Dish (save ~$15) Pint & Dine is a one-of-a-kind culinary establishment with a menu that’s very much inspired by the idea of simple and honest cooking. Their K-Chick Waffle ($18) which consists of the classic fried chicken and waffles combination with an added side of kimchi and onion rings is exemplary of that. 5/10 food a nice cafe w good vibez + korean songs 🥺 ordered the bulgogi carbonara, mentaiko salmon rice bowl and chicken cutlet rice bowl but those were disappointing so it’s a 5/10 for me 🍽 nothing was outstanding and i will not have it again … matcha latte was alright tho … 🍵

Sudado De Pescado Tomato stew with barramundi, clams, crispy quinoa. It's so refined. The only problems were it's tiny and we had to buy bread separately.

Pasta De Champinones Portobello pasta cooked with Lustau sherry wine. It looks and tasted lovely. The deep-fried mushrooms were addictive.

Virgin Mexican Sunrise A drink not on the main menu probably whipped up spontaneously by the bar. We don't know what went into it but this kind of name usually is safe hahaha.

second time!!! 🍝 used burpple 1 for 1 for the mains - had the grilled salmon pasta (honestly 10/10 for us) & the steak pasta! salmon pasta was such cheesy goodness i regretted not getting it for myself! was eyeing my friend's dinner the whole time 😆😆😆 the steak was not bad but the dish as a whole was js quite mediocre. the sauce was rly salty & the aglio olio js wasn't very fragrant. would not order again total spent $28.80 for 2 dishes after discount - pretty worth !!!

1-1 dinner ordered the chicken parmigiana and grilled salmon pasta. the portions were really big that we almost struggled to finish it so definitely worth coming to try with the 1 for 1 deals! paid $28.80 total for the 2 mains. the chicken was nice and tender, with cheese on top that realy complemented the flavour:) tater tots was crispy and yummy!

1-1 Dinner at Sarnies! First time at Sarnies to celebrate a special occasion :) Angus Beef Stew was really hardly and super delicious!! (Super tasty and flavorful gravy and nice portion of beef and sides). Glad the place feels super casual, cozy and has great ambience. Highly recommend the Breadcrumbed Fried Portobello mushrooms. Staff Haziq, Kim and Navi are super friendly. Can't wait to come back!

Horrible Experience My friend ordered a medium rare steak and all she have gotten was a rare steak, the steak was so horrible, the outer layer was way too charred and the inside was rare! Despite the replacement, the outer layer of the steak still remained v charred. Besides that, we even order a glass for sangria each, their house pour wine was soooo bad that sangria was so difficult to swallow and it not longer sweet as it was supposed to taste like!

Not Coming Here Again - At Least Not For The Pizza I dropped by a year ago and my mother wouldn’t shut up about the pizza I doggy bagged home. Finally had the time to pop by and I picked up 2 pizzas - to my horrific surprise, they were really badly made - look at the distribution of ingredients, and flat out tasted of nothing. No flavour. Severely lacking salt - the dough was also raw at the bottom. Any pizza chain or frozen pizza would’ve been a much better choice. The mains looks far better and if I go back, I’ll be staying far far away from the pizza
