Preserved Veg Hor Fun (S$6) in Chinatown.

First time trying chye poh hor fun and it's surprisingly yummy!

Freshly fried upon order. It's hor fun with eggs, lots of chopped chye poh , a few prawns and pork lard. Definitely full of wok hei and the charred parts at the bottom is delicious.

Decent portion and ingredients; but the taste of the chye poh wasn't as strong as I had expected.

Would eat this again 👍

Klang style Bak Kut Teh in Aljunied.

What I tried:

🤩 Soup is the herbal type; so flavorful and not too overpowering, packed with pork belly, pork ribs and meatballs. Do get the add ons enoki mushrooms, beancurd skin and you tiao to add into the soup. Great for sharing and really filling when paired with rice 🍚.

💯 Omg love the dry BKT! Taste so good with that sweet savory sauce coating. Comes with a mix of pork ribs, meatballs, sliced okra and cuttlefish stripes. Must try! Just wished that there was more sauce 🤤

🌿 Also enjoyed the appetizing side dish of vegetables with pork floss as well.

It wouldn't be complete without the condiments of black sauce with lots of minced garlic; great to pair with meats 😆👌

Nice and cooling dessert! Affordably price at $2.50. Came with loads of red beans on one side; mango syrup, mango, nata de coco, longan on the other side.

Also tried their Laksa (S$3.50) which is surprisingly good well. The laksa broth is full of flavour and creamy.

Delicious fishball noodles with pork skewer in Bedok! Popular stall in this coffeeshop with queue.

Ordered the S$3.50 portion, meepok noodles dry version, with add-on pork skewer (+$1.50). Comes with a bowl of soup.

Noodles were springy. So flavorful after mixing in their special chilli. There's fish cake slices, 2 fishballs and 1 meatball. Love the fishball and meatball, bouncy soft, no fishy taste and tasty.

Would definitely recommend getting the mooping pork skewer; tender and juicy meat, with a nice char on the outside.

Ordered the S$13 portion which the stall uncle recommended, good for 2pax.

Comes with tender juicy chicken chunks, chinese sausage, salted fish and veges. Pour the oil and dark soy sauce provided and mix it all up.

I like the rice texture; not too soft or hard. Best part is the crispy rice at the bottom. Overall, will eat this again 👍

Ayam Goreng (Fried Chicken Set) $6.50 from Indonesian BBQ stall. One of the more popular stall here in this Kopitiam, long queue during meal time.

Ordered 10pcs pork satay and 1 rice ketupat. ($0.80 each)

🔥Nicely grilled, tender & flavorful chunky pork with some char on the outside. Cooked-to-order and goes really well with their delicious peanut pineapple dipping sauce. Served with some cucumber and onions on the side.

This stall is located in the more quiet area (Green Zone) of the hawker centre.

A Michelin guide recommended stall.

Lots of dishes available; decided to try Lontong as I saw others eating it and it looked delicious. The Begedil is an add on (forgot the price).

Coconuty gravy was piping hot and not overly lemak, which makes it easy to drink it all up. Comes with rice cakes, whole egg, veges, topped with chilli and grated coconut.

Will come back to try other dishes 🙂

Ordered for 2pax, with 2 bowls of kway and kiam chye (total S$10). Mix of braised pork belly, intestines, pig skin, tau kwa, tau pok and egg. Average taste, but better with chilli sauce.

Taste good with all the yummy gula melaka sugar and coconut milk 😋 Portion size is just nice for dessert.

Freshly made traditional handmade snack. It has a sticky chewy texture from the sugar syrup. $3 for small pack.
