Suo comprises 5 kinds of sashimi — hotate, salmon, hamachi, akagai and amaebi, all of which you get 3 thick slices each. the staff allowed us to swap the maguro to hamachi! sashimi was fresh as expected but we particularly enjoyed the scallops and yellowtail. loved how the prawns came with the head intact for extra umami 😀

no other words to describe this bowl of goodness except ✨PERFECTION✨ best beef bowl i’ve had to date. beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the decadent truffle rice and onsen egg. the other extras like caviar and uni/foie gras were just an added treat bc the bowl could’ve honestly stunned without them! so glad there’s beyond here

one of my fav place for desserts! just look at that matcha goodness oozing out 🥰 love the combo of thai tea ice cream with the bitterness of matcha, making it not too sweet. cookies are always made upon order so do expect to wait especially with limited seats available!

this cosy cafe opens till 3am daily for all you night owls craving sweet treats! tried the thai milk tea toast that came hot and crispy with a side of honey to drizzle. perhaps i’m not a huge fan of the “after you” inspired desserts but it was a little too sweet and jelak towards the end (could just be me). price wise was reasonable, would come back to try the bingsu!

first time here and it was packed on a weekend afternoon (as expected). food was relatively slow as dishes came one at a time 😩 sambal stingray was pretty good though with the right amount of spice! also tried the sambal lala clams and they were decent. overall a good place for simple family meals with a nice view and ‘dine in a park’ vibes that won’t break a bank!

you can’t go wrong with the truffle mushroom pizza at harry’s! smell of truffle was wafting in the air as soon as the dish was brought to us. the thin and crispy crust made it easy for us to gobble everything down. aglio olio was flavourful with furikake and seaweed adding a nice touch, albeit a little oily. steak sandwich was decent but nothing special there. stick to the pizza and drinks!

still one of the best meat puffs i’ve tried! chanced upon the snaking queues awhile back at a pasar malam, decided to figure out the hype and was instantly hooked. generous stuffing of meat is ultra tender and the puff is deep fried to perfection! queues have died down now at the store so definitely give it a shot if you haven’t

ordered 2 mains for sharing~ he was apprehensive about trying the burrata pizza ($26) at first, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise for both and definitely the highlight of the meal (check out the ooze in 2nd vid) 😍 the pesto-tomato sauce cuts through the richness of the burrata, leaving you wanting more. pizza crust was super crispy but don’t leave it too long as it may get soggy towards the end of the meal. beef short rib fettuccine ($29) was an interesting spin from the traditional bolognese pastas. texture of fettuccine was al dente, coupled with the ultra tender pulled beef and tangy tomato base!

at $12, this is obviously a steal! good portion of pasta in chili crab sauce (they even give you extra sauce on the side), with a decent sized crab to go along. you even get a free coffee/tea in this set! not sure how long this deal will last but happy hour drinks are really affordable too~ very quiet restaurant probably due to covid

this is the first time giving their mains a go and honestly, just stick to the baos 😥 got the crab pasta and steak pasta, both were very underwhelming. the baos however were good as always, chili crab ones are crispy and the others filled with mentaiko goodness!

for the price, you can’t really expect thick slices of fish but it’s worth every cent nonetheless. you get a good variety including hotate (scallops) and ikura! it’s located in a restaurant/food court-ish place with other food options and a bar so head down for a no frills dining experience

used beyond for 1f1 mains, got the duck confit and australian rib eye (300g). both were pretty good in their own ways — found the puree for the duck to complement the dish really well, and the steak was perfectly medium rare paired with the signature beurre blanc. special shout-out to the unassuming plate of truffle fries that was only $6 (surprising for a place like this). loved the look and feel of the restaurant with cosy rounded sofa seats! will def come back
