[New] The Original Sembawang White Beehoon by White restaurant has recently make its way to central Singapore by opening its 6th outlet at Suntec City.

Other than the Iconic Original White Beehoon ($7), The seasonal Ma-La White Beehoon ($9.80) is available exclusively at the Suntec City outlet till the end of the year. I really like the spicy version of the dish, as it is flavourful and appetising, even though I wish I can choose to adjust the spicy level, as its not spicy enough for me 😂. I strongly recommend you to try this dish, and I can guarantee that you might get addicted to it.

We also tried the Signature meat and seafood roll ($13.80), and the Stir Fry Fish Head with Bittergourd ($18.80) which is prepared in accordance to the founder's wife recipe. The Home Made Fried Beancurd ($12.80) was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, best eaten when it's hot. 🎉White Restaurant will also be having the following promotions in celebration of the Suntec Outlet opening;

1) Snap & share a photo of your meal or selfies against the restaurant's signature orange backdrop to redeem $5 Return Voucher.

2) Enjoy the following dishes at $6 with every purchase of the Original White Beehoon after 6pm. - Sambal La La (S-$13.80)
- Home made Fried Beancurd (S-$12.80)
- Sambal Kangkong (S-$11.80)
- Chinese Sausage Omelette (S-$9.80)
- Stir Fried Pork with Ginger and Onion (S-$12.80)
- Signature Fried Wings (S-$10.80)

They are also known for their chee cheong fun, where unlike the typical ones you have with shrimps and wet sauce, theirs is served dry and with green chilli at the side. We tried the Anson's special ($4), which is the signature item here, with turnip fillings on the soft rice rolls. It's quite appetising, and we would definitely be back to try the other items in the menu such as their Curry CCF served with pig skin, beancurd skin etc, and their Mee rebus and Asam Laksa.

Chanced upon a hidden gem near my neighbourhood, and I'm glad that it's within 10mins walking distance from our new place.

Named after a town that is located within Perak, Malaysia, Anson Town Bistro serves authentic Malaysia Cuisine that's cheap and good. We had the Fried Chicken Chop Nasi Lemak ($5), which was satisfying and the portion was generous.

I can predict this is gonna be a regular place for my weekends brunch. Come visit me at my new place and I might bring you here. Having breakfast here certainly reminds me of the breakfast I had in Ipoh.

Oh ya, you can also find freshly baked traditional chinese pastries here as well, such as Heong Peng.

Here are the winners of this year Chef Creations; Pastamania's annual in-house culinary competition where their chefs from each outlet will craft and cook a recipe based on a theme for in-house tasting and judging. The top dishes will then be sold in store for a limited time from now till 10th Nov.

Spicy Mediterranean Mackerel ($11.90) by Chef Siti, an aglio olio style pasta with Mackerel, vegetables and a satisfying kick of spice. You can also opt for a full meal at $19.90 that includes the all time favourite 3pcs garlic bread with soup, soft drink and a gelato.

Thanks to @roastparadise, now you don't need to visit expensive restaurants just to satisfy your cravings for Caramelised Char Siew.

The Char Siew are priced affordably at $5.50 for 100gm, and $10 for 200gm. I am so thankful that we have such gems in the local hawker culture. The Char-siew are so delicious and satisfying, and I guarantee that you'll definitely polish off everything in the plate. I admit it's rather sinful, but trust me, this is definitely worth every of the calories.
