Grilled Cheese Patty Melt ($26) A really good cheeseburger - but in a sandwich! Why have burger buns when you can have grilled cheese sourdough? The Blackmore wagyu patty was juicy, very tasty with the pastrami jam, garlic aioli and cucumber pickles. Very classic cheeseburger ingredients and executed well in this sandwich. Overall a good sandwich, slightly pricey but it was delicious so I’ll take that. Visited on a public holiday and at 11am, their tater tots were already out of stock! This eliminated many of their breakfast options, sadly. Would return again earlier to try their other options.

Pastrami Reuben ($26) So glad my friend and I shared the sandwiches at this place, because they are really generous with the meat! The smoked pastrami brisket was just overflowing in between the slices of caraway rye sourdough toast, it wasn’t too salty on its own but the sheer amount of it in the sandwich made it quite so, along with the provolone cheese. Fortunately there was sauerkraut and Russian dressing to cut through the salty and savoury notes. Overall a very tasty sandwich, would recommend to share otherwise the pastrami brisket can get quite overwhelming. Soy Osthmanthus Tea Cake with Yuzu Frosting Spotted yet another new offering at the favourite place whilst being there for the weekend cuppa the other day; and it goes without saying what we are going to order to accompany the cuppa. Available alongside their line of loaf cakes, which includes the Carrot & Walnut Slice and the Chocolate Banana Slice, the Soy Osthmanthus Tea Cake with Yuzu Frosting is something that offers a twist to the more conventional loaf cakes that they have to offer. The tea cake was actually pretty comforting; bearing the same density as their usual loaf cakes, they are also pretty generous with how big the slices are here. It is sufficiently moist, but I especially loved how the cake itself carried light notes of soy — almost akin to that of soy milk. Whilst the Osthmantus could admittedly be a little stronger for a floral note, the Yuzu Frosting came with a slight zing and wasn’t particularly sweet; overall a pretty fitting and comforting combination. Best paired with an iced long black, especially given the current heatwave of the late.

The eggs softened the melted cheese, which gives it the cheese pull while still having a crispy crust at the bottom. The avocado was sliced beautifully and sprinkled with chilli flakes, giving it a hint of spicy kick. The smoked salmon was really easy to slice and chewy. It goes really well with the avocado and fresh vegetables! The toast was the only part that I dislike as it was too tough to chew. 💰: $18.90 📈: 10/10

Forage Big Breakfast From The Forage Cafe Brunch for one is definitely satisfying. Honey buttermilk waffles, smoked salmon, bacon, chicken patty, baked beans, mushrooms, greens & creamy omelette.

Double patty beef burger Good value, nice ambience.

Lacklustre Location: Difficult to locate due to the small font on the shop front. The beer board was much larger than their own signage. Food: Ordinary food, not even worth the Burpple discount. Had their Mushroom Swiss Burger and the Signature Rebel Beef Burger. The ingredients listed in the menu and in the burger that arrived seemed different. No salsa or guacamole on the Signature Burger at all. Do not recommend.

Matcha Tiramisu Not too sweet and it is not like the typical tiramisu

Prawns pasta The cream sauce is tasty which I like and not too thick

Mocha - Caffeine was rather light and had a more chocolatey taste, would prefer it more intense. [6.5/10]

Breakfast sammy - Spam was crispy but a tad too salty. - Egg sauce was fragrant with chives but very creamy rich, which got too heavy for me towards the end of half a sandwich 🍳 [7/10]

Caprese grilled cheese - Combination of cheddar and american cheese gave an ultimate savouriness, with tomatoes and basil cutting the greasiness well. - Caramelised onions gave a touch of sweetness! - Sourdough was freshly toasted till crunchy and crisp on the surface, thicker than the brioche above 🍞 [7.5/10]

Amazing 3 Course Dinner Set The 3 course dinner set was amazing and super value for money with burpple 1-for-1 ($60). Started with the Spanish octopus which was perfectly cooked. We got the lamb shank and pork for mains. There was also a complimentary birthday dessert on top of the 2 desserts we alr have. Overall it was a pleasant experience as we had a very hearty meal.

Kopi 'O' Dessert I went to Porta a month ago, but his dessert sometimes still will pop in my mind...very addictive dessert😆

3 Course Meal @ $62 (Burpple 1 For 1) We had fried oysters and Spanish octopus for our appetizers, followed by porta burger and fillet mignon for our mains. We ended off the night with our desserts - Pecan cake with ice cream and Black Forest. They gave us an complimentary birthday cake as it was my friend birthday! The service was really great and the ambience is chill. This place is located in Park Hotel, it is overall great for a nights out! With the deal, it was double the worth! O-toro Don Set ($39.90++) Went to this shop just for otoro and at first they told us that otoro was out of stock. Imagine the disappointment on our faces 😅 guess they saw that and somehow told us they could get us this o-toro don set. Glad we tried it and it was such melt-in-the-mouth goodness. Don't think I ever tried such fatty tuna before. Even the rice has the vinegar-y taste and all was so legit. Miso soup was not too saltish and the tea was awesome. Good place for birthday celebrations 🥳

Fatty Tuna Love I think I just found my favourite tuna place in Singapore! Literally every piece of food there that I put into my mouth makes me 🥺 This rice bowl consisted of the thick & succulent slices of the best cut of maguro; Otoro, Chutoro, Akami & Negitoro, served on a bed of really nice textured Japanese rice. This is definitely my favourite. Apart from this special rice bowl, we also ordered the 5-cut maguro sushi set which we really love as well, 1 of each sushi to experience sushi with premium cut of tuna. Lastly, we ordered the maguro gunkun that was on promo, 2 pcs for the price is really worth it, until we started adding uni & ikura. Given the amount of uni & ikura, I would say it is not even worth the additional. Burratina (150g for 2) & Bread This is like the MUST HAVE dish on every table!!!!! Bread was also served warm with a side pesto/olive oil dip. Combo was insanely appetising! I'm quite picky about my bread and cheese but these 2 simple dishes were done to perfection.

Brownie Blackout brownies are all good, this one is abit too sticky-dense and outside isn't the most crispy, so not top tier. But still enjoyable
