this dish was so unassumingly good!! the beancurd cubes were super light and crisp even after staying out for the whole duration of our meal, and they were salted perfectly!!

a MUST GET at sum dim sum!! think silky smooth, charred horfun packed with ingredients... the runny yolk coated every strand of noodle super nicely and it was super super tasty

this bowl of noodles tasted super homely and the soup was so flavourful i drank every mouthful of it.. noodles were perfectly cooked and the dumplings were very juicy and full of prawn with every bite!!

think this is a classic that doesnt need any intro... my favs include the cheese, crab roe, foie gras and szechuan!! ofcourse the rest are good too cant go wrong with xlb

i love three meals a day and this soondubu didn't disappoint! very well flavoured and full of ingredients, this is a perfect meal for a rainy day :") they are very generous with their banchan (special mention to their macaroni and boiled potato) which i always get seconds or thirds!!

my fav dessert place actually.... their bingsus are super worth and yummy!! featured is their green milk tea bingsu which tastes super authentic, ice is well flavored and very milky!! love the crumbs on the bingsu as they add extra crunch to it. for 11.9++ it is definitely a steal

the prawn broth was thick and flavourful, although slightly salty! whereas the chicken broth tasted lighter, similar to shio soup. love this concept where their ramen is wok fried slightly first to give it this earthy, charred flavour adding dimension to the soup!! would recommend the crispy beancurd skin - although something not usually found in ramen shops it was fried to perfection!!

rly recommend the korean fried chicken and vegetable fritters! jajjangmyeon hardened upon turning cold which wasnt very pleasant to eat, LA galbi was good but slightly pricey for the meat:fat ratio.. mentaiko gyoza was normal and kimchi cheese pancake was pretty good except it wasnt as crispy as i preferred my kimchi pancake to be! interesting concept thats pretty authentic

got d 1-1 brunch - limited to either almond butter or avocado sourdough! wish it was listed clearer as we went there thinking more options were available for the 1-1 brunch:( but nonetheless, they were very very generous with the almond butter and it was literally dripping LOL eggs were super silky, and sourdough was toasted nicely! we added on sour plum sweet potato fries which had a nice balance of salty and sour and stayed crispy for a long time! however its a small cosy place with limited seats so come during non peak hours!

i alw get d banana milk & thai milk tea one as they're super flavourful and taste authentic! found the peach slightly underwhelming and their mochi skins abit hard compared to the bugis outlet but still a great treat nonetheless!

ordered : wild mushroom risotto ($21), salted egg chicken linguine ($17), truffle fries ($11), fortune tikki cocktail ($24) and honey pot cocktail ($24) not pictured! have heard raving reviews about hopscotch's cocktails, and gotta admit they dont disappoint!

honey pot was more on the sweet side, with a pleasant blend of gin, kyoho liqueur and bubblegum liqueur, topped with a honey lollipop, as compared to fortune tikki which tasted abit like an atas chin chow imo, stronger on the alcohol.

they were SO GENEROUS with the truffle fries which remained crispy the whole duration, and the whole plate was full and well topped with parmesan, overall an immaculate dish! felt that the truffle mayo was unnecessary as it was so flavourful by itself. worth the $11!

for mains, as someone that does not like mushrooms, im ashamed to say i devoured every bit of the risotto.... creamy and al dente with strong mushroom flavours, this dish someone tasted way better than other stores that served this too at a higher price point! something i didnt enjoy was the black fungus, but beyond that the wild mushrooms were tasty! salted egg linguine somehow had that "wok hey", despite not being fried in a wok, and the sauce was not overpowering and coated every stand of linguine nicely.

first, and definitely not my last time here!

japanese rice with a generous bed of veggies - eggplant, corn, spinach, broccoli, carrots, breaded fish topped with a sous vide egg! one of my to-go dishes from S&D, after their fish and chips and breaded prawn donburi! the drizzle of sesame sauce elevates the dish, and surprisingly goes well with ketchup mixed with the rice!
