Situated within POMO in the Dhoby Ghaut area, Montana Brew Bar serves a variety of burgers, waffles, sandwiches, and pastries. On the coffee front, Montana offers artisanal coffee blends -- from single origin roasts to their own special house blend. They boast a rather extensive waffle selection, both savoury (think Truffle Mac & Cheese) and sweet (Waffle Suzette, Cinnamon Apple Pie, Strawberry Fields). Go for the Southern Fried Chicken Waffle Sandwich and Red Velvet Waffle Stack! Prices are very reasonable.

Miharu has moved to Millenia and is now closed at Robertson Quay. Menu is updated again and my usual choice is now #13. Still as good, and the space is 3x bigger. Ramen in comfort!

Would anyone have expected this lunch set to be $12 20 years ago? One of the rare benefits of globalization, expect to have really good food at low prices at this lovely shop. Only at lunch time though! Nonetheless this is a great place to de-stress because everyone is super chirpy!

Chef Peter aka the nazi chef who founded wasabi tei, chikuwa tei and mitsuba has a weird habit of buying and selling japanese restaurants after giving them a make over. His latest muse is now Kaiware at triple one Somerset where he has revamped the place for a couple months. Catch him before he anyone knows about this place! #SETHEATS

The Tom yum flavour was quite fragrant but just a tad too salty. Risotto could be a little less saucy as well.

The average price of these are $3.50, only the crab xlb at $4.50! Prawns were crunchy and fresh! The place didnt look promising but the dim sums were really good! Every dish was sooooo good!

Think dim sum, and definitely Singaporeans will think of Swee Choon at some point of time! Love it that we can enjoy dim sum for supper too.

Honey Butter Toast to accompany the smooth, velvety Injeolmi Bingsu.

The toast is toasted nicely with the right crisp and the butter and honey give it a good balance of savory and sweet. Though it is yummy, I can't help but think how easily this can be replicated at home. :p

Was just talking to some #burppletastemakers last night about this Claypot Mee Tai Mak ($10 portion) and here I am today to enjoy it again. This is like a cauldron of goodness and raw eggs are added into the bubblin' hot mixture before serving to create a thickening consistency. Stir it well and it's ready to feast.
