Would recommend this spicy nduja spread, creamy burrata with mint served on wood-fired sourdough toast from @sidewayssg 😍 Perfect for sharing with friends and family, or if you‘re hankering after a hearty and filling brunch!

Decided to try the new and improved acai tubs from local acai company @selvafoods which I got from @littlefarms!
The tubs are much easier to open now. The earlier versions had lime but now it’s been replaced with a very flavourful lemon that compliments the acai very well. The acai in each tub all comes from a single source harvested from the Amazon 🌮 With this tub, I did find that the acai flavour is not as strong and concentrated as it used to be (not sure if the lemon flavour overpowers the acai or if the recipe has changed). But having said that, I appreciate that this 500g tub of acai is reasonably priced and I can enjoy this ice cold acai without having to leave the house! :)

YolĂ© are always coming up with innovative new products! 😍 Their R&D team have been working really hard.

I finally tasted their latest ice cream in the raspberry flavour!

Like with most Yolé items on the menu, I find it hard to describe exactly what every product tastes like.

But to put it simply, this raspberry ice cream tastes like raspberry chocolate.

It’s also fruity with a gelato-like texture, and a hint of frozen yoghurt flavour to it. It’s great if you have a sweet tooth (and especially good on a hot day!)

They also sell this in a takeaway ice cream tub, so drop by your nearest Yolé outlet and enjoy this in the comfort of your home :)

Stewed beef cheek simmered in red wine and miso, with mash potatoes and beans.

My favourite thing to order! The beef cheek just melts in your mouth and the mash potato is incredibly delicious and just the perfect texture.

Comes with free flow cabbage! Quite a filling portion size. For what it was I thought it was expensive. The fried pork cutlet and curry weren’t exactly memorable but it was quite easy to eat. The hot tea was good though! I still miss Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin at Ion Orchard (may it rest in peace).

I was craving a hot drink because of my throat. Ended up ordering this green tea latte made from @matchayasg premium green tea. The latte art is so pretty. It was just a little bit sweet (if it had bit a little sweeter it probably would have been perfect), tasted a little like a hot genmaicha latte. The drink itself was really milky and didn’t have a lot of green tea flavour to it. I think I finished my drink in like under a minute, in all honesty it was a little pricey for the quantity and quality.

If you haven’t made Sunday brunch plans, do consider making a trip to @sidewayssg! Located between Jalan Besar and Little India, it’s just a few minutes’ walk from Farrer Park MRT. I especially love this freshly made dip from Sideways – it’s made from feta, pesto, basil, tamarind, olive oil, pepper and mint. Really good, fresh, savoury stuff and goes so well with sourdough!

It’s hard to find good bread in Singapore, but the sourdough from @sidewayssg is one of the best in town! ♄ Each slice is nice and crispy on the outside, and extremely fluffy and airy on the inside. Every morning, the loaves of sourdough are baked in their wood-fired oven so you know each loaf is fresh and good.

Over the weekend, we tried this new addition to @sidewayssg’ menu! 😍 It’s cauliflower baked in a wood-fire oven served with a beautiful hot pink beetroot tahini. It’s great for sharing. We loved the mild, baked flavour of the cauliflower paired with the rich and flavourful tahini and cubes of yummy beetroot 😋

Sideways is a great restaurant for vegetarians and meat lovers alike, read the rest of my food review on rachelrawr.com :)
