An unassuming stall with just some green jellies, red bean, a tub of coconut milk and gula melaka (brown sugar) scooped onto ice, BUT not all Chendols are made equal. Itโs a burst of flavour. Complex, gratifying and my happiness index surged in a second. That green chendol jelly is was like how good nonya kuehs taste- a tad salty, keeps you going. Definitely far from the usual boring plain flour -taste-like-nothing kind. A definite must try if youโre in that complex.
Heavenly balance of flavours. Ice cream flavours weren't too sweet but they were full of smooth flavour. Waffles had amazing texture and bite, that were put with the perfect honey drizzle and chocolate sauce.

A delight no matter how many times I return. The brown sauce is full gratification with the juicy patty, portion is perfect with some greens to make me feel like I had a balanced meal. (Set comes with small salad and soup of the day, plus choice of coffee / tea)
Coffee was honest, strong, smooth, and always a good end to the meal. Excellent set of staff at this Bugis branch, kudos for the Japanese manager for maintaining consistency all these years!
$26 plate of goodness! Scrambled eggs were smooth and fluffy and everything on the plate was yumssss. I skipped the thick cut bacon (not a fan of bacon) but they were kind to give an extra serving of spinach which I loved. Super big plus for what made the platter instead of the usual places, but wish the sourdough toast was less soggy, and they served better butter.
Note: Cafe opens at 8:30 but this breakfast platter is only available from 11am onwards. A strange choice, since they named it "The Brewer's Breakfast".
Still worth a return visit nonetheless, but the 11am thing is a bummer.
The bestttttt coffee in Singapore if you're a piccolo latte lover. They're more known for ice cream and waffles, but their coffee is definitely top 3 over the last 5 years in Singapore. We need to give them a lot more credit for topping the touted specialty coffee cafes sprouting up, dime a dozen each week.
Not sour/acidic, nor burnt. Milk is frothed smooth and served at the right temperature, ending in a cup that is perfect notes of coffee and latte. ๐ธ
Bonus: on Mondays you get 2nd cup for 50% off.
Paid $85 for this customised cake. It's one of the most professional teams I've ever experienced, answering questions from options to price per letter. I taste more lavender than earl grey in there, maybe 6:4 in taste but cake was moist and fresh. Picked up from their shop- it was super pretty and staff were just professional and happy. Edith has always been my go-to for any customised cakes. Professional, dependable.
Legit! Got invited to a durian party and durian from TipTop Singapore was served. Each durian from sweet to bitter / bittersweet was chunks of bites with teeny weeny seeds. It was a very blissful evening!
Price wise just a wee bit higher, but worth the assurance in quality. I also ordered the 800g from their website the week after to try- comes with free mochi and MSW ice cream. What more can a girl ask for?
Literally the best burnt durian cheesecake on earth! Each bite was a perfect balance of cheese and durian- there was nothing artificial and depending on the temperature served at (I portioned it and froze it for different serving times) it could taste like durian ice cream cake with a hint of cheese, or like eating real durian in texture and yet in cheesecake form. A definite fail safe recommendation for any who loves both elements. ๐
