This was so good, it was moist and had a spongy texture which soaking up the caramel sauce. Loved it!

Blown away by the generosity of the beef slices on top of the pizza! Crust was thin and chewy. Love the ambience & friendly staff, will be back for more it not for the ulu location ):

Thick, rich and comforting. The soup tasted like a ménage a trois between canned sardine gravy, chilli and tomato, so steamy and explicit that the clams were left with mouths agape. 4.25/5

One of my favourite crab pasta dishes around – the generous quantity of happily salty crab bits provide substantial bite and the linguine is firm, springy, and slathered with a fragrant spicy oil in the same gratuitous manner as a Banana Boat enthusiast with suntan oil at Yishun Swimming Complex. I asked for extra spicy and phwoar, if you follow in my footsteps your butts had better be prepared for that pleasurably wicked searing flare. 4.3/5

Here, the concept of salad bowls are pretty fun because apart from having suggested combinations of ingredients, you get to choose and pick whatever you fancy with very hip and cool stuff that's unlike most salad bars. My choice of ingredients were Quinoa, Grilled Striploin Steak, Furikake, Wild Mushrooms, Apple Kimchi, Bean Sprout Salad and Asian Gravy; a combination which I only realized after ordering that was very Chinese/Japanese/Korean. Quinoa was soft, fluffy but they could have done better in the processing of it for there were parts of it which were sandy and gritty, spoiling the texture of the salad. Grilled Striploin Steak is well-grilled, tender but a little gamey (though not disturbing) with a little fat around the corners to chew. Wild Mushrooms were earthy and flavourful, while the Apple Kimchi felt really unique for how it delivered that familiar fermented yet spicy flavour but introduced a juicy, sweet crunchiness. Bean Sprout Salad is served cold, crunchy with a bit of savoury and the Asian gravy was somewhat like a caramalised onion sauce with a hint of vinegar which is sweet yet tangy. Furikake adds spiciness and umami flavours to the dish. All in all this was a salad bowl I enjoyed thoroughly, and it's not only because it's a combination of ingredients I personally enjoy and hand picked, but their ingredients are rather quality choices which are different and rather unconventional of usual salad outfits in the area.

Nice tasting steak that's part of the lunch set offered by The Black Swan. Add $4 to the $36 set lunch to enjoy this nice piece of steak.

From Tiong Bahru Wanton Mee, #02-32. Opted for the $4 bowl, quite a generous portion of very q noodles, char skew, fried wanton, fried fish paste dumpling, fried fish ball. The caramelised charsiew was not bad, at least it wasn't dry, with a bit of charred bits that I actually enjoyed. Sauce was a little too much towards the end but overall, pretty good for its price.

I tried this salt baked salmon this time round. Yummy!
Love the fluffy slice of salmon baked to perfection, as it retains its moisture and tenderness. Their new addition of onsen egg is runny and cooked just perfectly.

Usually crowded during brunch hour especially on weekends. Ideal place for your caffeine fix. Poached egg on Smoked salmon was awesome!

The "Big Breakfast" - a ubiquitous item on nearly every cafe's menu, yet not all of them live up to the name. Well, this one does. For $19.90, you get a large plate filled with lots of tasty things: 2 fried eggs, 3 sausages (2 of one type and 1 of another), bacon, sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, a slightly oily hash brown and 2 thick slices of toasted walnut bread. Those with healthy appetites will appreciate the portion size. Those without, can gladly share (like the family I spotted doing so). Unfortunately for coffee connoisseurs, the caffeine concoctions here aren't much to shout about.
