Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of the recommended flavours - Lychee Raspberry and White a Chrysanthemum. However, the Midnight Gianduja ($4.70 per scoop) was delectable! The rich and creamy chocolate flavour with a hint of nut reminded me of Kinder Bueno. The thyme cone (top up $1) is freshly made and very aromatic, the smell hitting your nose before even entering the store! It is a must-try that probably goes well with any flavour you pick.

When it was my turn to order after a 25 minute wait, the star item was already sold out. I settled for the Sio Bak aka Roasted Pork with rice ($4 per serving, I topped up $1.50 for extra meat), which was featured on Food King by NOC.
It is above average but not on the top of my list. The skin has a GREAT crunch, but I find it overly salty. The pieces of meat is thick and quite lean as well. There’s no sweet gravy to accompany the dish, which is something I like in my usual meal. But the mustard-tasting sauce at the top of the plate is an interesting addition to this dish, which helps to cut through the saltiness of the pork. I used to be quite intimidated by Sichuan & Northern Chinese cuisine. I was only comfortable ordering 麻辣香锅 (spicy & numbing stir-fry dish) & 凉拌菜(cold Chinese salad).
I ordered the 辣子鸡 (Spicy Chicken) for $10, seeing how it’s a common dish on most tables. It was certainly a rewarding first-try 💯💯💯
Crispy chicken cubes, stir fried with spicy bean paste & Sichuan peppers. Even though the dish looks like it’s made up of 95% chilli, it’s not as hot as it looks. As someone who enjoys piquant & heavily flavoured food, this was a delight to devour. Not to mention, the portion is super generous and can be shared among 2-3 people. I would recommend this dish for anyone who wants to kickstart their Sichuan food journey 😋

Was walking around after dinner & found this new spot next to To-gather Cafe. The 1 ice cream scoop + 1 waffle set ($6.50) is pretty worth it, so I decided to give it a try even though I’m bursting at the seams from dinner.
There are 3 flavours to choose from for the waffle; Buttermilk, Chocolate & Red Velvet. For the ice cream, there are a plethora of flavours. I chose Speculoos (love the huge chunks of biscuit in the ice cream!) and Red Velvet waffle!
Overall, I really enjoyed it! The Speculoos wasn’t overly sweet, the texture was almost chewy. The waffle was fluffy and light, with a nice crisp on the outside. Hot & cold, this combo bakes me crazy 😏

This place was on my to-go list for the longest time ever.
Couldn’t contain my egg-citement when I heard that there’s free flow eggs & salad! Would suggest to go early as the waiting time can be quite long.
I ordered the Triple Cheese Prime Hamburg Steak Set ($20.80) because no sane cheese lover can resist the glorious golden goodness.
The set comes with a sauce of your choice (go for deep glaze!), miso soup, shrimp tempura & pan-fried tofu. Special mention to the premium Koshihikari rice, every grain was as gratifying as finding a pearl in an oyster 🤪
First bite of the beef reminded me of Tori Q’s meatball. I preferred the normal Hamburg as the cheese overpowered the taste of the beef and was too heavy for me. I’m also not a fan of the Keisuke Original Sauce (soya base). It’s certainly a challenge to polish off everything in the set + feast at the salad/egg buffet. Some of must-try dishes at the buffet are the Uma-Kara Spicy noodles, Deep Fried Tofu Ankake Mushroom Sauce & Coffee Jelly. As much as I love eggs, I only went for 2 rounds in the end 😂
Overall, it was an above average experience but I don’t think I’ll be returning soon. This can be a yearly affair ☺️
