Genki sushi's dai manzoku sushi's are affordable to your wallet and sooo delicious. My favourite is the fluke sushi which consists of a half torched flounder with sushi rice. Pictured are the mala salmon sushi from the DMZ menu and the assorted salmon and scallop negiris.

Sliced fish with cabbage and lala fried with bee hoon full of wok hei smokiness and seafood broth. He Le is one of the must try stalls at bukit timah hawker centre.

Little oasis lies in the everton park heartlands that is a not-so-secret hipster enclave known for cafes, traditional kuehs and bakeries. Great place to chill. We went over after lunch and ordered their iced citrus mint tea and berries smoothie to refresh ourselves. Will want to go back again to try the food.

Newly opened at Everton Park, the better half is a gorgeous bakery cafe to visit for its instagrammable bakes and decor. Ordered the lemon lavender honey cake which costs $5. The hint of citrus was a nice blend with the florals, melty sugar frost and lavender honey sponge.

Origin+Bloom deserves a 2nd post for its illustrious entremets. Elaborated in grandeur, these yummy cakes are made by Antonio Benites who has worked for Joel Robuchon and Pierre Herme. So expect high quality goodness! We ordered the signature black symphony and Berries charlotte cake (cannot remember the exact name) which are meticulously crafted in layers of creme, mousse, biscotti, chocolate, sponge cake, fruit and glaze.

The whole 9 yards reminds me of kueh lapis for its colourful layers of ingredients. Besides its stunning visual asthetics, it is a wholesomely delicious sandwich has a variety of meat and vegetables proportionally stacked: leafy greens and lettuce, ham, salami, salsa and cheese. A must-order if you are craving for a meal at origin+bloom.

Tucked cosily in the newly renovated sime darby centre, kong cafe serves korean inspired delights in a minimalistic decorated space. We ordered a spicy ramyeon and soy garlic fried chicken which are homely and belly comforting. The soy garlic wings are sticky sweet goodness that would be enjoyed by kids and non spicy.

I am not really a fan of macarons because I find them sugar overloading and too sweet for my preference. When I visited M plot, their cake sized macaron look compelling and I took a leap of faith by ordering one of them. The bittersweet dark chocolate balanced the sugar that was used in making the macaron shell fortunately and it was not as sugary as expected.

Tried the signature soup variation for the first time with chinese ramen and it was mindblowing awesome! Expect thick and consistent prawn broth with seafood and umami sweetness. The ingredients are generously portioned with a plethora of shrimps, shrimp dumplings and prawncakes. A must try at le shrimp.

Located at beauty world centre in the vicinity of Ham Bao Bao and Buta kin, the eatery serves authentic, belly comforting korean food. Pictured is the kimchi stew. Thicker than soup with glorious spiciness. The kimchi stew is a must-order if you dine at joo mak. Served with loads of kimchi, tofu, pork belly slices, it is any kimchi lover's paradise. Remember to stir well as the bottom of the stew could get a little too salty from the added gochujang paste.

Awesome cake slices by inthebrickyard now available at 11 Hamilton. While we narrowly missed out on the famed ondeh ondeh, we ordered the black velvet speculoos for dine-in, orh nee and vegan chocolate cake slices for takeaway. My favourite has to be black velvet for moist chocolate cake with the crunchy layer of cookie butter speculoos.

Joining Nakhon kitchen and Soi 19 to form a small cluster of thai dining outlets at holland village is Yaowarat Thai Kway Chap. The signature bowl costs only $5 and comes with a peppery clear broth, thai chinese sausages, lean pork, roasted pork and pork stomach.
