📍Lao Huo Tang (Seletar Mall)
- Buddha Jump Over Wall 佛跳牆🍲
- Deep Fried Grouper in Black Bean Sauce 香脆豆豉石斑魚🐟
- Handmade Deep Fried Prawn Roll 手工脆皮蝦棗🧆
- Stir-fry French Beans with Minced Meat 乾煸四季豆🥙
- Sweet & Sour Pork 咕嚕肉🍖
- Marmite Chicken 媽蜜雞🍗
- Crispy Cereal Prawn Ball 麥片蝦球🍤
- Fried Rice with Chinese Sausage 臘味炒飯🥡

The soup is great but the portion is a bit small, probably cater for 2-3 pax.

The fish is decent but thought it is a little salty cos of the starchy black bean sauce, would prefer if the sauce could be less starchy and less salty.

The prawn roll is quite disappointing, not crispy and not springy as I expected it to be, suggest to skip this.

Similarly, for the french bean and sweet and sour pork, not that fantastic, french bean is quite dry and not as flavourful, the sauce for the sweet and sour pork is also not on point, can taste abit of the pork gamey smell, can skip.

Marmite chicken is good, flavourful, crispy coating, can order this.

Cereal prawn is decent, but pretty small portion.

Fried rice is surprisingly not bad, we ordered 2 plates of it.

Note: The serving is pretty small, each plate like serves 2-3 pax only, hence, find it a little pricey for the portion. Would go elsewhere for better quality food.

📍Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut (Lucky Plaza)
- Bebek Goreng Nasi (Crispy Fried Duck Rice)🍖
- Tahu Telur (Fried Egg & Tofu)🍳

Like the crispy fried duck, find it crispy but yet not as dry as I expected it to be, easily detached from the bone, the tempeh and side (tofu and cherry tomato) are good to refresh the palate and neutralise the spiciness from the chilli (pretty spicy I must say)…

The rice is kinda soft to my likings…

The tahu telur is a must-order, fried egg and tofu with the prawn paste rojak-like sauce is da bomb, yum!

Do expect a long queue during lunch hour…

📍Dubai Shawarma (Oxley Tower)
- Chicken Kebab (Wrap)🌯

Got the spicy one, which I guess is from the black pepper, added some kick to the chicken kebab, and it’s quite filling too (wrap with chicken kebab, various veg and some spice), not bad for a lunch option~

Around 8 seats outside the shop that was shared among the eateries there I guess…

📍Koufu (Nanyang Polytechnic)
- Mala Xiang Guo🥘

Medium spicy level, not bad at all! Pretty spicy but less spicy as compared to a McSpicy. The saltiness and spiciness are quite on point, got that kick that is. Felt a bit lacking of that numbing sensation, but overall worth trying.

Damage: $11.95 (enough for two pax)

📍Munchi Pancakes (Fernvale Hawker)
- Original Coconut Pancake🥥
- Charcoal Peanut Pancake🥜
- Green Tea Red Bean Pancake🫘

Prefer the coconut to the peanut to the red bean pancake.

Generous coconut filling, a little sweet though, but is nice. Peanut one is the safe bet, will be perfect if the peanut jam could be thicker. As for the red bean pancake, find it a tad too sweet to my likings.

📍Steamov 食尚撈 (Beach Road)
- Mala Soup Base🥘

Individual hotpot is really for ppl like me who doesn’t like to share and save the trouble of others having to use common utensils…😬

Start by ordering your preferred soup base (spicy and non-spicy ones). Then you can choose the stuff you want from the conveyor belt or to order from the staff.

Variety of items (on the conveyer belt) are quite decent given the price point. Each short stick is $1 each (e.g. potato, quail eggs, black fungus, lotus roots, tofu stuff, veg etc) and those long stick is $3 each (e.g. mini abalone, scallops, hotate, seaweed chicken etc).

Didn’t get to see their meat (e.g. beef, pork, chicken & lamb) and fish on the conveyor belt, think will have to place order with the staff.

Drinks is at $1 (canned drinks) and $3 (big bottled ones). Self service to the cup and ice.

The place was quite clean, but saw some super small flies on the food/veg on the conveyor belt. If budget constraint and dun mind the flies issue (unavoidable at times), can check out this place, but if particular about food hygiene, suggest to skip this.

Damage: $15.40 incl. svc charge ($5 for soup base & condiments, $1 for chopsticks & tissue pack, items ranging from $1 to $3, excluding meat & fish options ranging from $5 to $20)

📍Cafe Lilac by Whisking Bakes
- Taro-misu🍰
- Lilac Latte🥛
- Flat White☕️

Find the cake (taro-misu) a tad sweet to my likings, the taro paste and cream are fine, but the lady fingers are rather sweet, if only the syrup that they soak the lady fingers in could be less sweet, that will be good.

Lilac Latte is taro paste with milk, overall not bad, not too sweet, suitable for taro lover.

Flat White was decent, tasted heavy-bodied, latte art a bit cmi though.

Cafe can accommodate around 28 pax, quite a nice chilling place.

Damage: $19.50 (dining time limited to 60min)

📍Good Pig Trotters Fried Bee Hoon (Arcade)
- Soya Sauce Chicken Rice🍗
- Braised Egg🥚

This soya sauce chicken meat was so tender and juicy, the rice is also fragrant (probably cos of chicken oil and garlic) and distinct (not mushy), totally worth the calories!

The chilli is like bonus, value-add to the chicken rice, yum~

A tad ex but the price point at CBD area is considered norm already…
