Nice small cozy place (near Bedok 85!) with communal table and individual seating. Suitable for family too (I think they've got kids' play area for them to run wild so it wasn't exactly quiet when I was there). Food's affordable, quite worth it imo.

It's really wonderful when it comes to the beauty of coffee because the flavour profile just changes with even ice cubes added. The Iced White here is mildly acidic, milky but somehow earthy as well; rather different from the usual White that I will order. Soothing for the scorching weather out there now.

Another table turner is this Char Siew Chicken! Made in house, every mouthful leaves you wanting more. Paired with their garlic fried rice, this has got to be the best "chicken rice" around.

We have seen many cafés adopting several themes; from motorbike themes, to simplistic themes, but this is probably the first time I had chanced on a petrol station themed one. From the Shell signage within the cafe, to funky names such as "V-Power soda" in the menu, the theming runs deep. Most items are pretty affordable; brunch menu runs from $8.90 to $13.90, and there are also mains, pasta and sandwiches available. With reasonable quality, portion size and prices, this spot would be somewhere Bedok residents will never mind visiting.

Was kinda disappointed initially as there was no molten chocolate oozing out from the lava cake and the vanilla gelato contain iced crystals (maybe due to the constant melting and freezing?). However, kudos to the service staff as they replaced it with a new set and the piping hot lava cake with gelato brings a sweet ending to my meal.

Cost: $5.90

As compared to the lime-flavoured desserts this was overall more subtle. Served with Honey & Hay ice-cream, it comes with brûlée banana and Nutella powder. It's lightly sweet, with vanilla going well with the bananas hence being an all-rounder in taste. Nice, but I would probably skip this to leave space for the more impressive items that they serve.

This is from my dad's stall. Located at 51 Old Airport Road Food Center. Unit no. 138! My dad starting following my grandpa to do CKT since he was 12 years old. Many of the customers claims that my dad's is like a cross breed of Singapore CKT and Penang CKT. So don't expect to have too much dark sauce in it. My dad uses fresh prawns and squids which he goes to the wet market early in the morning to choose all of it himself! He also makes sure that supplier gives the freshest and big cockles. He also cooks the pork lard from scratch! $3 and you have abundance of ingredients in there! Fish cake, Chinese sausage, Chinese chive, beansprout, cockles, prawns and squid. Opens daily from 8am-1.30pm.

Finally here to support my teammate/classmate at her café! Happy how this is turning out for her! Coffee on tip basis and they sell really exotic interesting coffee beans! Having my usual latte while my friend has a off menu hot chocolate, with hot chocolate art!

Nope, that's not rice. That's pasta masquerading as risotto. This dish with asparagus, squid and lobster manages to taste healthy and delicious at the same time – the colours liven up the plate so attractively too.

This was my favorite drink among all of them. You could slowly pour the flower extract into the drink and watched it turned pink. The visual impact was more than impressive. The hint of flowery taste made it very unique

** Personal Suggestion: I would prefer the extract to be thicker. Thus while the extract been poured, distortion in the drink could be more obvious (increase in the visual effect).

A soft sweet bread stuffed generously with raspberry jam and fragrant roasted almonds. The jam didn't taste artificial and wasn't overly sweet as well. A huge bun at $2.85.

L-R: cookies and cream, custard, Nutella. Crodos are a cross between croissants and doughnuts. They have the flakey, buttery layers of a croissant, and are... Well, shaped and topped/filled like a doughnut :) Wasn't very impressed with the cookies and cream one, but I really enjoyed the other two. The custard one is dusted with sugar, and filled with a really light, creamy vanilla custard that wasn't too sweet or eggy. :) the Nutella one is of course filled with a chocolate hazelnut ganache. Very gd eaten warm. Now, I need to get my hands on the elusive salted caramel one.
