This is an insane drink. Pricey at $22 but totally worth it cos it feels like enjoying 3 drinks. It’s a Porter with an amazingly silky mouthfeel - almost syrupy but without being sweet. The cherries make this lovely and tart, cutting through the usual “thickness” of a porter, making it very easy to drink. Get this if you like sours yet looking for something unusual and dark!

Crazy refreshing! It tastes literally like what it says on the can. Strong notes of cucumber and watermelon. A nice way to start the evening and perfect if you’re sitting outdoors.

Love this place for affordable, Super satisfying pizzas. Order your pizzas at the counter and enjoy the cool breeze at your alfresco table. Share a Parma Burrata, Bismarck and Diavola. Have a cold Peroni for just $6 or a glass of wine for $10. The staff is very friendly too!

Sososo happy that Temple Cellars is now carrying Two Metre Tall beers from Tasmania. This ale was very refreshing while boasting a rich and complex flavour. Went well with the Katsu don I dabaod from Liang Court.

You can never go wrong with their pour overs. Just ask the friendly baristas if you need help deciding!

Aside from swinging by for an always-good cuppa, I’m so glad Double Up’s near enough to restock beans in the office 👌🏻

Savoury beans cooked down with spices and topped with a fried egg. The crusty bread was nice to dip and eat it with.

Served piping hot, this plate was a real delight. Enjoyed the cuttlefish and begedil a lot!

Didn’t know that the traditional style was coconut + fish. Fantastic flavour from the coconut and the charcoal, flaky texture from the nice chunks of fish you see. Not the usual paste-like texture at all. I will definitely buy this every time I’m at Geylang Serai!

Love that the selection of bottled beers is always changing. Tried these two and really enjoyed both. The Ale of Dogs is a fruity summer ale, very easy, while the Bitterbitch Parrotdog IPA was super tasty and just bitter enough. You can also get a lager on tap! Best part is being able to enjoy these while watching a movie.

Can’t believe how long it’s been since I last had this. Have yet to find a better Thai beef noodle (and at $5 come on) so I’m very happy to remind myself how good they are! Soup has amazing depth, noodles are chewy, the parts are all good and it comes with a full plate of basil and sprouts which are just 👌🏻. Add on Chili flakes for full effect!

Since the first time I tried it, I’ve never failed to order this before a movie at The Projector. It comes loaded with nacho cheese, guac, sour cream, a nice tomato salsa and beef Chili con carne — these are simply the best nachos of all time!!!

Pro tip: before bringing into the theatre, spend some time rearranging the chips. Bring the bottom ones to the top and spread all the toppings around evenly. Then you can eat in peace in the dark knowing you’re getting a little of everything.
