Nasi lemak I paid almost $25 for these three sets. Price list and menu can be found on their IG. I am not usually a huge nasi lemak fan as I'm not that great with spicy food. Their sambal is definitely on the spicier side (even for my family who can take spicy). The rice has a strong whiff of lemongrass but I don't quite taste/smell the pandan. I do like lemongrass so it's ok for me but I guess it really personal preference. I enjoyed the fried eggs though. Because my friend who got it for me were there at 8am a few items were not available hence I did not manage to try several items which I wanted to. But from what I've tasted and it's quite a distance from where I live, I don't think I will make a trip specially down but I might try again if I'm in the vicinity.

AMAZING VALUE FOR MONEY AND DELICIOUS We had: - Nasi lemak with various protein options including chicken cutlet, chicken satay cutlet, chicken galangal etc. Food: I’ve had cafe pandan nasi lemak ALOT OF TIMES ALREADY. It is super delicious. The rice is fragrant, the cutlet is super tender and aromatic. You have various options of protein, veg and egg. The chilli nuts and Ilan bilis always comes packed separately. The service is impeccable. Food packs always come labeled with the contents and our names. $8.50 value meal comes with a drink and >$60 to get free delivery. Everything I’ve had from there is delicious. Highly recommend! Better than C______ C___! Price: $8.5/pax Worth it? Yes!

Nasi Lemak The Nasi Lemak set ($6.50) comes with 1 meat, 1 vegetable and 1 egg of your choice. The coconut rice is fluffy and fragrant, the chilli is just the right amount of sweet and spicy and the fried ikan bilis and peanuts have a nice crunch. The chicken wings are not the best I’ve had - I prefer one with a crunchier exterior and with the drumlet intact. Having said that, the meat is juicy and tender. The other items such as white cabbage and sambal brinjal are quite good. There are also 4 types of egg to choose from: sunny side up, omelette, sambal egg and sous vide egg.

Seafood Marinara @ $11.90 Returned to pasta loft again. A small shop with 2nd floor seatings. Not really suitable for the old or physically disabled to eat here. Seafood was fresh. 2 prawns, 2 mussels & 2 strips of sotong. Would be nicer if have a spicy option, would have tasted alot better with some red chilli.

pork chop baked rice and bbq pork egg rice food was not too bad. eggs were quite creamy and paired well with the bbq pork which has a decent fat to meat ratio. the baked rice was normal. can skip. i enjoyed their iced milk tea the most!

Quality Cantonese Cuisine Crispy Bun with Condensed Milk Braised Pork Cartilage in Fish Soup with Mixian Both dishes were so homely and delicious, would come back once in a while due to the slightly high price.

Part 3/4 - Black Garlic Ramen The 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻 was bold, beautiful and bewitching. The robust broth was an explosion of flavours that made this bowl marvellously mouth-watering.

Part 2/4 - Kotteri Tonkotsu Ramen The creamy, flavourful broth and numerous melt-in-your-mouth tender pork belly slices combined to make the 𝗞𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗸𝗼𝘁𝘀𝘂 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻 stunningly scrumptious.

UNAGI ROLL A new addition is their Summer Unagi Bata Roll ($18.80) which is filled Charcoal grilled summer unagi with Akashi's 25yrs secret unagi sauce, hand cut cucumber, TOO MUCH BUTTER in the brioche roll. The Unagi is yums but why use pure unsalted butter in clunks inside - it’s like eating frozen butter😅🧈

TAMAGOYAKI BURGER Didn’t realised @goldenbrownhambaga is hidden inside @akashi.sg at @paragon.sg 😯✨ and this raved tamago yaki hambaga ($10.80) is considered DESSERT??? Super thick tamago katsu!!! It’s pretty sweet but still with a savory node from the dashi 😊 together with the fluffy brioche bun, it’s heavier than it looks - best shared as it can get quite intense for one😶

Ebi Katsu Hambaga [$14.80] Our pick between the two burgers we tried. Look at the thick patty that’s stuffed full of fresh minced prawns! It was well-balanced in flavour and not heavily seasoned so that you get the prawns’ natural sweetness. All the burgers here come with buttery brioche buns. You can find Golden Brown at Akashi in Paragon - they are available daily 11.30am to 10pm, for both dine-in and takeaways/deliveries. We had to specifically request for this burger menu so don’t worry if you think you’re in the wrong place (cause we thought we were) 😂

Heibi Hiam Kouign Aman Limited edition for CNY 2023. A savoury spicy Kouign Amann! Who would have thought of that!

Early bird catch the worm Came early at 7am on 1st April for the crossiant campaign of 7 crossiants. The crossiant original price is $4 and it is the best crossiant I had. The skin is crispy and flaky and the astastic look capture my heart.

Balanced Bowl I’m not a salad person but the DIY grain bowl from Da Paolo Gastronomia is really good. The Balanced Bowl ($14.90) comes with 2 grains/bases, 1 protein, 2 vegetables and 1 dollop of your choice. There is a wide array of ingredients to choose from and they are all pretty delicious. For base, I like the multi grains and seeds, summer barley salad, and braised lentils and confit leeks (+$1). For protein, the Moroccan Chicken Thigh (+$2) is tender and full of flavour. For vegetables, my favourites include baked Moroccan eggplant (+$1), roasted turmeric cauliflower and roasted carrots. Lastly, I love hummus and had to get the chickpea hummus for dollop - was not disappointed! Overall, this is nutritious and delicious and the portion is substantial - nice!

Nasi lemak! Super long time since I last ate Lee Wee & Brothers Nasi Lemak, as there is not alot of outlets islandwide. Got the Honey Glazed Chicken Wing set ($6) which consists of the wings, fishcake, otah and ikan bilis. I liked that the ikan bilis was packed in an air tight packet, so it was still super crispy! The sambal chilli sauce was also in a separate packet, so it wasnt dozed all over the nasi lemak rice!

Nasi Lemak w Breaded Fish Set ($4.50) was surprised to find something so cheap for lunch in CBD. I really enjoyed the nasi lemak, loved the chilli so much I bought one packet home (they sell it for $0.30). Portions and ingredients were given generously and tasted delicious!! Only thing is otah turned out smaller than expected, looked a lot bigger in pictures. Overall a great lunch! :-)

Assam fish Sometimes the best thing is the simplest one, like this Assam Fish from Lee Wee & Brothers. . Now this pack of Assam Fish costs you less than SGD 5, it is not fancy in appearance, but don’t let the look fool you, it is by far the best Assam Fish for us. It is creamy without being thick, the dory fish is fresh and super soft, and served with lady finger and eggplant. . Each portion serves 1 and comes with no rice. You can get a portion of rice for SGD 1.40

D A L E Really grateful and appreciated that we spend time from travelling frm east to west. Its kinda hard and out of the way for us tbh. I wanted to come with my friend for their dessert especially their cakes. Their cakes got one of the kind like unique shape not that usual cake size. We managed to squeeze out on time for weekend. Otto/ Madu Whenever we make the journey back to the West, @lees_confectionery has always been one of our fave go-to places for handmade artisan cakes and delicious coffee. Wanted to try the 𝙊𝙐𝙉𝙄💜, but as luck would have it, the last one went to the guy in front of us who ordered one of everything on the menu, so we had to give it a miss this time.. *laughcry* 😝🙃🙃 I wish I could explain the intricacies of every detailed work of art that's painstakingly plated and put together upon each order, but I'll let the photos, and your taste buds experience this for yourself!
