Quite possibly the dish that shot them to fame, this dish needs no introduction - they didn’t even bother giving it a proper name 😂 the Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N’ Waffles was simply marvellous 🤩 while there was nothing fancy about the chicken (I mean it’s just fried chicken), they were absolutely wonderful — perfectly simple and just what I was looking for. Juicy, tender and easily torn apart, the chicken was really flavourful with a thin, crispy skin that crackles with every bite. The cheddar waffle had a savoury kick to it and I drenched it in maple syrup for a sweet and savoury combination. The diced up, spiced watermelon was an interesting take; dunked in watery, hot sauce which was rather refreshing 👅

Mixed Meat Trio Mixian was delicious! The mixian was akin to think vermicelli, soaking in all the essenese from the milky broth that spots a wokhei scent. Packed with ingredients, I'd say this is really worth it!

If you enjoy eating grilled fish, you'd be happy to know they serve them here as well! The Spicy Numbing Seabass was shiok to say the least! Fresh and tender, the fish wasn't fishy at all and even if it was, any hint of it will be covered by the spicy and fragrant sauce. There were thin slices of potato at the base and having been boiled for so long, it was really tender and I happily paired it with a bowl of rice for good measure. If spice isn't your jam then you could go for the Pickled Cabbage Seabass which was rather sour though I preferred the spicy version.

I like my food heavy duty (lol) so Mala Tang always felt like a lighter version of Mala to me. The broth was light and slightly creamy and you can feel free to add in any ingredients of your choice.

The Chicken Stew in Pig’s Stomach was so comforting and had me drinking it by the bowl to down every last drop of its essence. Spotting a thick, creamy consistency, it looked like it had been boiled for hours on the stove to reach this viscosity. Despite that, it was light on the palate and had a generous amount of tender chicken that was easily pulled apart with the slightest tug.

Their Sliced Pork Belly with Spicy Garlic Sauce is an example of why simplicity is best. A fuss free dish of thinly sliced pork belly coated with chilli and chopped garlic bits, the tender meat was surprisingly flavourful and tasty.

If you can't live without spice, then you would probably love the dishes served here. From soup to dry dishes, rice to noodle, vegetables to protein, spice take up pretty much 80% of the menu here!

Mala Tossed Mixed Mushrooms was a great appetizer to start off the meal. As oily as it may be, every single strand of mushrooms was well coated and absolutely worked up an appetite for me.

This was one of the nicer tasting dishes of the night! Served hot and crispy, the Chili crab sauce adds a nice punch to the palate and I devoured this within minutes!

This was pretty lackluster since the cheese was only drizzled on top, leaving most of the bottom fries naked. Supposed to be truffle fries I believe but it lacked the familiar truffle scent and the cheese harden after a while leaving lumps of cheese on some fries. It was quite dry and overall not a dish I’d recommend ordering.

Came here for a birthday celebration and manage to secure seats with a view 💯 food didn’t disappoint, though it certainly didn’t dazzle as well but I’d come back again just for the view and ambience. I’d recommend the pan fried salmon which was fresh and tender, with a nice, crispy skin to boast.

Accompanying my meal was the amazing Somersby Apple Mojito, a sweet and fruity drink that is bound to freshen your palate. This fizzy tropical drink had chunks of fruit thrown in as well, which I ate to end off my meal as a way to balance out all the protein I just consumed 😂

Of all that I tried, I enjoyed the Apple Glazed Meatball the most. Sweet, crunchy and juicy, the meatball were lovingly wrapped with bacon and heart cloggingly good 🤭
