Rich & Flavourful Tonkatsu Ramen Sanpoutei is one of my go to places for good ramen. Soul nourishing for a cold wet rainy day 🤤Expect a queue especially during peak hours though. Also, they don't do reservations. But plus points for being located right smack outside Holland v station exit B. Much convenience for someone lazy like me 😛😛

good good good baked rigatoni chorizo was the STAR 🌟 of the show that dinner!!! the pasta retained it's al dante texture (which alot of baked pastas don't) yet still had the dried, chewy exterior you get from baking. was such an easy eat 💗 in second place was the mafaladine slow cooked beef. again, super good pasta texture & flavour! the curvy wurly shape of the pasta was also so fun to slurp & helped to catch alot of sauce. 🍝🍝🍝 in last place & actually won't recommend - tagliatelle white pork ragu. the pasta was too thin & flat causing it to lose the good bite. also the white sauce was kind of clumpy and dried onto the pasta even after stirring. it wasn't terrible but you have so many better things on the menu!!!! special mention for the pistachio tiramisu (not pictured). chicco actually has posters dubbing it as the tiktok viral tiramisu WHICH IT ACTUALLY DID LIVE UP TO THE HYPE 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 the mascarpone was incredibly light & flowy!!! still dreaming about this 1 week later recommend score 8/10! total damage post tax $88.73 for 3 pastas & 1 dessert

Pistachio Tiramisu ($12) I couldn’t help but chuckle, at the server standing by, subtly judging as we eagerly filmed the lid reveal. 😂 When the lid is removed, the mascarpone cream flows down mesmerisingly, blanketing the coffee-soaked layer beneath. Taiwan fusion Was brought by my friend for this Taiwan fusion. Food are generally nice and the restaurant was nice to give us a bigger portion of peanut and sesame ice cream at no extra charge. Value wise was not bad and worth it

Balsamic Vinegar Fries ($10) The fries are drizzled in sticky balsamic vinegar sauce - have not tried this combination previously and it is not bad. Pretty addictive.

Bacon Cabbage ($10.90) The stir-fried cabbage with bacon has so much wok hei and a drizzle of chili oil gives this dish a little boost - love this too.

Korean street food Very simple setting with K pop music in the background. Enjoyed the Galbi very much.

Crispy fried chicken The fried chicken was exceptionally crispy and packed with flavor. The accompanying sauce complemented it perfectly, offsetting any greasiness. This place has good Korean vibe too

Dinner at Korean Restaurant Pocha 88 Came here for a casual dinner with a friend, the place is situated along the drinking area of Holland Village. We ordered the Corn Cheese spicy ramyeon, the Osam Bulgogi and the pork Kimchi Stew. The corn cheese spicy ramyeon was not bad with an ample serving of melted cheese, although I would not recommend it for someone who has a low spice tolerance. The Osam bulgogi was average but I enjoyed the soup from the Kimchi Stew which was rather flavourful. I would also like to highlight that the service staff of the Holland Village branch are very friendly and attentive. Most of the dishes here range from 10-30 bucks. Overall I would say it is a pleasant experience for a casual dinner.

Superb food, desserts and wine Came for a birthday dinner with a party of 7. The host pre-ordered dishes. All dishes were great and so were the wines. We had calamari, meatballs with sourdough and stuffed pita bread for starters. Exceptionally love their pizza; the pizza base were nicely cooked, fluffy with a slight chewy texture. Toppings were great too! Desserts were great too! Special mention was the pecan tart; nutty, fragrant and addictive! We had 3 wines and 1 unpasteurized sake. I’m a sake lover and the sake made my eyes sparkle! Lovely complex flavours and love the natural effervescent (probably due continual fermentation process), which the server accidentally had a sake shower when opening the first bottle (poor server probably had a shock himself, we all had a good laugh (not at him of course)). Definitely worth revisiting.

Pecan Tart The S$13.00 Pecan Tart had a drizzle of caramel bourbon sauce and a scoop of ice cream to go with it. Legend said that their previous version came with a whisky gelato, so one could get an unknown high after tasting a few mouthful of the dessert. I supposed changing it to vanilla gelato might just make this a little more friendly to the folks on the other side?

Huevos🌮 Went to Huevos 2 weeks ago and ordered their Loaded Nachos, Birria Beef Tacos, and Breakfast Burrito (~$40/2 pax)! Overall ratings 9/10😇 Food is great as always but cheese gets abit gelat after awhile... Not sure if its just me but I prefer their Nachos last time compared to now... Highly recommend the Breakfast Burrito though, first time trying and I loved it!😍 Will be back to try other items next time hehe

Chilli Ban Mian | $5 My favorite handmade ban mian to date. The noodles? Impeccable. Fresh, chewy, and of nice thickness and texture. The sauce had a nice good mix of savouriness but it’s nothing until you add that amazing chilli which really packs one hell of a spicy punch and elevates the whole experience. Typing this is making me crave it again, but I understand that they have moved? Or will be moving from Sims Avenue to a coffee shop near Geylang East library. meehoonkueh mee hoon kueh is also springy and all the thinner side but still very enjoyable, if you’re gg to dabao, recommend gg for the soup versions so you get more soup and manis veg HAHA

dry chili youmian finally tried penang hengheng after forever! the noodles are handmade and rlly so different from any other youmian we’ve ever tried. but the real star has to be their chili SO SO FRAGRANT we really loaded up on it
