This is one of their signature dishes. Could smell the coffee fragrance even before the plate reached the table. The meat was tender and the coffee sauce coating it was strong and it wasn't salty.
Excellent dish!!! The seasoning was perfect and each element was cooked to perfection. The salmon skin was crispy and the flesh still juicy and flakes easily. The gravy had a balanced tartness to creaminess and the baby spinach was tender. My favourite was the buttered rice which just made me going for more.
Must try!!! (preferred this to the duck confit though the duck was nice too)
The skin was crisp and the meat tender. Potato gratin was quite creamy. Maybe I expected too much so the dish was just delicious rather than phenomenal. Very reasonable price though!!
It was actually delicious. The ripe banana's sweetness was just right. With the crispy crust and soft gooy filling it was enjoyable.
Loved this. The brownie squares were fudgy and the scoop of Earl Grey ice cream on top was nice. The toffee in the side bowl added some decadence to the dessert. Yums!
Delicious wings that did not disappoint after reading the many reviews. Crisp and juicy.
(Was a takeaway so plate is not theirs). The $16 prawns are delicious! Though I think to be more precise, it's the batter that's well seasoned. Crispy cereal and not oily at all! Just the right amount of curry leaves and chilli.
Newly opened at Blk 19 Toa Payoh lor 6.
The gula melaka in the ondeh ondeh was superb!! Very delicious mouthful of dessert : soft, a little chewy and the oozing gula melaka just wraps everything in yummilishness. The homemade barley was quite thick and I think I could taste a hint of lemongrass. Very healthy taste as it wasn't sweet.
The small eatery is just outside Bugis Junction (along the walkway) and near the taxi stand.
The Little Brownie Jar ($7.50) is pure joy in a jar. Velvety, rich, moist and pillow-soft brownie is jammed into a jar and is paired with a generous globe of strong yet light earl grey ice cream. The fantastic frozen dairy treat cuts through the richness of the brownie and adds a new depth of flavor and a tremendous new texture to the dessert. It's then topped off with thick, full bodied caramel sauce to make the dessert just that much more decadent.
Hoo mah lawd, this brownie is indescribably indecent, yet it feels and tastes so right.
Had the apple crumble and it was delicious. Mixture of texture (crispy from the chopped nuts, chewy from oats I think and the softness from apple cubes) was very enjoyable. The tartness of the apple in the sweet mixture was just nice! The scoop of ice cream on top seals the deal. Then again, it's $12 for a small bowl so you get what you pay for :)
The apple flavoured hot tea ($4) was very mild. Interesting way of drinking as I needed to deposit the big strainer with the yea leaves inside and drink from the cup itself. The vanilla taste is strong in the cake ($5.80). Interesting. Not dense and quite pleasant.
Very delicious! Fluffy and buttery toast, crisp bacon, sliced bananas and generous amount of maple syrup makes an unforgettable combination.
