📍City Hall (Raffles City)

Used the 1f1 Breakfast deal — I got their Ricotta Pancakes ($18). Tbh I was a little disappointed, because the pancakes were dry-ish and the citrus (?) sauce was insufficient. I wouldn’t order this again 🙃

Oddly enough when I came several months ago and ordered the same thing it was served differently — with espresso butter and caramelised banana, and homemade caramel. Think they might have changed their menu slightly?

📍Bras Basah (Odeon Towers)

🌟 on wednesdays they have 50% off on their sushi rolls 🌟

Been here a few times already and I keep coming back for more! I can’t quite remember the rolls I’ve tried, but a couple stood out: I love The Prawn King ($18.90) 🦐 & All Salmon, All The Time ($16) 🐟

I love how special each roll is — each one has a combination of different ingredients and they all taste different!! So if you go with friends you can share and taste a little of everything 😛

I think it’s pricey without the 50% off, so I’d just go on wednesdays 💸💸

nice atmosphere and good service— a good place for dates or nights out with friends 🌃

📍Telok Ayer (pretty sure it’s accessible by other nearby Mrts too actually)

U know when you’re watching a kdrama and suddenly the characters start eating fried chicken on the roof or smth and u get so hungry? But you’re also sick of kfc.

Just. SO GOOD!!! They have chicken cooked in a variety of methods — Roasted, Crunch (Without oil) and Fried.

They also have different seasonings, like original, yang nyeom (with korean spicy sauce), and soy sauce.

Go with a big group of friends and order lots to share 😛 and maybe order soju for the ~mood~ HAHA

📍Botanic Gardens

Came for a quick brunch, ordered the House Ricotta Tartine ($12) 🌟🌿🍅 hands down one of the most memorable dishes of my life!! Was never a tomato person but this was the perfect combination.

They were very generous with the ricotta and it was a wonderful consistency, not too dense :-) the cherry tomatoes added a wonderful burst of sweetness and flavor, especially coupled with the fresh crunchy arugula leaves 😭🌟

Maybe it’s a little pricey for a piece of toast, but I’d say it was worth it. Am planning to come back here for a nice Sunday brunch :”)

📍Tanjong Pagar

Used the 1f1 deal here, but note that it only applies for regular (~$9) and not large (~$12).

I had the chocolate oats and basically it just tasted like chocolate ice cream haha🍦Regular was pretty big for me and I couldn’t finish it! Came with sliced bananas and frozen strawberries :-) 🍌🍓

Tbh it was quite jelat for me? They also had the acai flavor that day (seems like they only have two flavors a day) and my friend got that! The acai was pretty good but not outstanding.

I’d prefer if the menu could be more clear because apparently the two flavors available were only applicable for pre-selected bowls (like u can’t customize the fruits and drizzle etc). A little confusing haha

📍Marymount (Upper Thomson stretch)

Dropped by while walking my dog and got a small Nutty Party ($5.90) with cookie butter drizzle.

Portion was smaller than I expected, but surprisingly filling. It’s topped with sliced bananas, cacao nibs, almond slices, and ofc cookie butter (you can choose other butters too)! 🍪

Personally I’ve always loved acai from Acai Affair (which Thrive is under) because it’s never diluted, and it tends to be (very) slightly cheaper than the others :-)

FYI there’s 1f1 for large acai bowls! But I was alone haha.

📍City Hall/Clarke Quay/Fort Canning

Slice of carrot cake (~$9). This was the perfect dessert to complete our meal! We were actually very full already, but their cakes looked so pretty and delicious under the glass covers.

I loved the cream cheese to cake ratio, and that it wasn’t too sweet or dense :-) There were also coconut flakes sprinkled on the side which added texture, while making the cake less jelat because of the occasional distinctive coconut flavor every few bites 🥥

I’ll definitely come back to try the other cakes :-)

(Actually I also had their mains but I forgot to take pictures haha. Will review when I go back)

📍Tanjong Pagar

Ordered 2 Maine-style crabrolls (~$each) with the 1f1 deal. Service was great (they were very polite and prompt)!

Our food arrived within 10mins and although it looked pretty plain & unassuming at first sight, it was surprisingly good 😭 they were generous with the crab portion, and it tasted fresh and flavorful!! the rolls were toasted perfectly and buttered inside for that extra savory kick.

Pricey without the 1f1, but I’d go back again 😛
